Good news as we start National Cancer Survivors Month - There was a lot of excitement about the results of the SARC41 study of versus placebo. Abemaciclib improved median PFS by 8.2 months when compared with placebo. It also reduced the risk of death by 45%, even with most patients in the placebo arm crossing over to abemaciclib at progression. More correlative studies of tumor tissue are underway to investigate this further.
There will also be exploration of other CDK4 inhibitors to see if they offer greater anti tumor activity in .
