Hannah
4 years old
Female
Boston Terrier
10-15 lbs
Hannah was just released from a life of breeding at a puppy mill and she can't wait to start the rest of her life! She's a super sweet, tiny girl who's quickly learning how cool it is to be a "real" dog! She's going to make her new family very happy, and she's currently available for our foster to adopt program while she settles in and we get her started on vet care π
We don't know much about her yet but she's crate trained and loves other dogs! She hasn't had any accidents in her crate so should catch on to potty training quickly.
Foster to adopt is a 1 week "trial period" on a foster basis. If it's the right fit, you'll adopt after that week. If not, you continue to foster until their forever home is found π‘
If you're interested in fostering/adopting Hannah please complete the application at www.rosebudrescue.com/adopt
Must be local to the Buffalo, NY area for vetting and vaccinations. We had a large number of applications for our last foster Frankie - if you've already applied and would line us to process your application for Hannah, please email [email protected]

The following dogs are in need from one of our shelter partners in TX and would arrive on transport on October 11th. They are eligible for our foster to adopt program - you welcome them into your home off transport on a foster basis, and get a 1 week "trial" to determine if it's a good fit. If so, you adopt! If not, you continue to foster until their forever home is found π‘π
E - Marty, male, 6 years old, Dachshund mix, 12lbs
D - Lola, female, 8 months old, Chihuahua mix, 16lbs
B - Chico, male, 2 years old, Chihuahua mix, 10lbs
If you're interested in fostering/adopting one (or more!) of these pups please complete the application at www.rosebudrescue.com/adopt - it is the same application for fostering and adopting. Must be local enough to the Buffalo, NY area for their spay/neuter when the time comes.

Week, like, 5 of having to explain to our foster that we have nowhere for Buddy to go and that he'll have to continue staying secluded from the other dogs and his foster family.
We had a foster application that seemed PERFECT, reached out to ensure that they were willing to foster Buddy specifically before our volunteers spent time processing their application, got them all approved, and told his current foster that we could move him on Sunday!! Two days later, the new foster we approved changed their mind π
Buddy, our 3 year old 15lb Min Pin mix, is ONCE AGAIN looking for a foster or a new adopter ASAP. He needs to be in a home with female dogs only (if any) and preferably no cats as he does chase the cats in his current foster home. Otherwise he's a fantastic dog - loves all people including children, walks great on a leash, rides well in the car, crate trained, potty trained once he adjusts to the routine. He was returned to the rescue after living as an only dog and since his return, just doesn't do well with other males. We have no current foster's we can move him to, so without a new foster or adopter stepping up, he has nowhere to go π
If you can foster or adopt please complete the application at www.rosebudrescue.com/adopt (it is the same application for fostering as adopting)
Applicants MUST be local to the Buffalo NY area to foster as we do not have vet resources elsewhere. Long distance adoptions are always considered, adopter must travel to the Buffalo NY area for a meet and greet.

Last week we pulled 2 sweet Dachshund mixes named Apple and Cherry from an Ohio shelter. We posted them and they immediately went into foster to adopt homes. We didn't post this old man (presumably their dad) because we already had a foster step up and agree to welcome him into her home. Old, blind, and crusty is totally her type! She named him Frasier and was so happy to see how sweet and loving he was despite his previous situation π
What we weren't expecting, was that Frasier would be incredibly dog aggressive. Aside from the dogs he lived in a hoarding home with, and despite the fact that he's blind, he's going after every dog we try to introduce him to. His foster has toy breeds, seniors, and medically fragile dogs that we can't risk injury to, and Frasier is noticeably stressed in a home with other dogs that he can hear/smell but can't see.
We're throwing out a Hail Mary here - Frasier needs a foster home with no other dogs. Cats who are capable of jumping up and have their own area away from him would likely be fine, but he will definitely chase them. Medically, we don't know where he's at. He may be adoptable, he may be a hospice dog. We need someone to commit to him regardless of this. He is a DOLL with people - loves to be pet and cuddle and enjoys running around exploring the yard outside.
This poor old man has clearly experienced some rough treatment and we want to give him the best life we can, but what we're sure of is that we can't give him that where he is currently. We're hopeful that some angel of a human will step up within the next few days and agree to welcome Frasier into their home so we can move forward with that goal β€οΈβπ©Ή
If you can foster please complete the application at www.rosebudrescue.com/adopt (it is the same application for fostering as adopting)
Applicants MUST be local to the Buffalo NY area to foster as we do not have vet resources elsewhere. We would consider an adoption long distance with a reduced senior adoption rate to the perfect home.

UPDATE: Placement found!! Thank you π©·
π EMERGENCY FOSTER HOME NEEDED TODAY!!!
Selena our 4 year old female Corgi was placed into a foster to adopt home on Sunday and is unfortunately not doing well with the other female dog in the home. We are now being asked to move her elsewhere TODAY by the end of the day.
Our fosters are full as we've all committed to dogs who came in on another transport since placing her, so we have nowhere for a dog to go in a situation like this. We're a strictly foster based rescue with no shelter location, and no magic wand to wave when things go wrong, which just adds to the never ending stress of rescue π
Selena got along great with the male Corgi who came with her, so we don't know if this is an issue with female dogs, this specific dog, or all other dogs besides her original Corgi friend. Since there's no way to know for sure, we're hoping to find a foster with either no dogs, OR someone who is prepared to keep her separated from their other dogs and willing to work with her/us to help slowly integrate her. It's so hard to judge a dog within their first few days of escaping a puppy mill and moving into a new home with new people, new dogs, new routine, etc. so we're hopeful Selena just needs more time to acclimate and decompress, and a safe space where she can do that slowly if needed π
If you can help, and are able to take her TODAY, please complete the application ASAP at www.rosebudrescue.com/adopt (this is the same application used for fostering and adopting)
If you had already submitted an application for Selena, are local to the Buffalo area, and can give her the time and space to warm up to your existing dogs/keep her separate until then, please email [email protected] to discuss. The foster will have "first dibs" to adopt her if she settles in well.

The following dogs are joining our rescue in the coming days and are eligible for our foster to adopt program. You foster the dog off transport through their 1-week health hold, and adopt if it's the right fit! If not, you continue to foster until their forever home is found π‘π
This gives you a "trial run" before committing to adoption, helps the dogs settle into hopeful homes faster, and keeps our usual temporary foster homes open to help other pups in need!
π Apple, 3 year old female Dachshund mix, 13lbs
β€οΈ Cherry, 3 year old female Dachshund mix, 16lbs
π©· Annie, 2 year old female Chihuahua mix, 15lbs
π©΅ Asher, 2 year old male Mini Aussie, 25lbs
If you're interested in fostering or adopting, please complete the application at www.rosebudrescue.com/adopt
Must be local enough to get them to vet appointments and their spay/neuter appointment in the Buffalo southtowns area - they are NOT eligible to go long distance. Applications will be processed ASAP and you should be ready to welcome a dog into your home within the next few days. Please DO NOT APPLY if you aren't 100% ready!

Still hoping that some of the 1,400 people who engaged with our Corgi post will share Buddy in hopes of helping him find somewhere to go ππ
Our Corgi's received a TON of interest, but we wanted to remind you about this sweet boy Buddy. He needs a new foster or adoptive home NOW. He can no longer stay where he is due to issues with other male dogs in the home, and we have no other options for him with our current fosters. We are looking for a home for him with only female dogs (if any) and no cats. We need to move him within a week, preferably sooner!!
Buddy
3 years old
Neutered male
Min Pin mix
15 lbs
Buddy was adopted from us over the winter and then unfortunately recently returned as his new owners didn't feel they had time for a dog anymore. He would have probably enjoyed doing their summer activities with them - but of course, we obliged and welcomed him back home to the rescue. We'll always take our dogs back, but unfortunately every returned dog takes up a spot in a foster home that could be used to save another dog at risk of dying. We're hoping to find this good boy his TRUE forever home asap to keep helping other pups in need.
π Dog friendly
π©΅ Crate trained
π Potty trained on a routine
π©΅ Walks well on leash, fenced yard not required
β Thinks it's fun to chase kitty friends - no cats is probably best
If youβre interested in fostering or adopting Buddy please complete an application at www.rosebudrescue.com/adopt
Long distance adoptions considered - must travel to us in the Buffalo, NY area for a meet and greet.
*Please keep in mind that it is time consuming for our volunteers to process applications. We ask that you are sure you are ready to welcome a dog into your home and are seriously interested in adopting BEFORE applying.

Corgi lovers - here's your opportunity! We committed to saving these two from a puppy mill several weeks ago, but their transport was delayed and then came up pretty last minute. They're currently en route to Buffalo and have a safe spot to land tonight, but we're making them eligible for our foster to adopt program to get them into their forever homes ASAP π‘
Foster to adopt means you'd bring the dog into your home on a foster basis. After their 1 week health hold you have the opportunity to adopt if things are going well. If it's not the right fit, you'd continue fostering until they are adopted.
π Selena is a 4 year old female (red/white)
π Jackson is a 6 year old male (tri color)
