It was an honor hosting my first Mayor’s Reception. Thank you to the City of Wheat Ridge Government and Wheat Ridge Parks and Recreation staff who worked hard to make it such a fun successful event. Congratulations to the Carnation Festival Royalty for their very deserving awards!

Fun piece by Kyle Clark highlighting something many people don't see, the collaboration between metro area mayors to solve challenges in our own cities and across the region.

I'm proud to represent Wheat Ridge and work alongside leaders who know we're stronger when we work together.

We got a sneak peek at the new Prost Brewery at Clear Creek Crossing, and I couldn't be more excited for what's coming to Wheat Ridge!

The food and drinks were fantastic, the facility is absolutely beautiful, and it's easy to see this becoming a gathering place for our community. Prost is going to be a true anchor for The Lookout, helping create a destination where friends, families, and neighbors can come together.

I can't wait for everyone to experience it. Another great addition to Wheat Ridge!

What a great day yesterday celebrating some of the incredible people and organizations that make Wheat Ridge such a special place.

I started the day helping celebrate the two-year anniversary of Lakeside Spine & Injury Care. Congratulations to Dr. Allen and the entire team, and thank you for everything you do to serve our community.

Next, I stopped by Clear Creek Makerspace to celebrate a group of students who spent their summer using math, engineering, and creativity to build some truly impressive projects. Clear Creek Makerspace is an amazing asset for Wheat Ridge, and I can't wait to see how they continue to inspire the next generation of innovators. Thank you Localworks for all you do.

The day wrapped up at Wheat Ridge High School, where I had the honor of speaking to other alumni who returned to support our school while competing in soccer, football, baseball, golf, and more. It was great to see so many current and alumni Farmers coming together to support one another and give back to the school that helped shape them.

I can't wait to see this event continue to grow over the coming years.

Once a Farmer, always a Farmer! 💙💛

It was an honor to celebrate the start of the Ives II, a project that will provide more than affordable housing. It will provide opportunity, stability, and a place for families to call home.

Today was more than a groundbreaking, it was a reminder of what's possible when a community comes together with a shared vision.

I'm grateful to Foothills Regional Housing and all of our partners for helping make this vision a reality. Moments like today remind me why I love serving this amazing community.

One week down, and Engage Wheat Ridge is off to an incredible start!

We've packed a lot into the first week! From our kickoff celebration at The Green, to the district meetings, our first Walk with the Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem, and wrapping things up this morning with July's Coffee with the Mayor.

Thank you to everyone who has joined us so far, and a special shoutout to Wheelie Bean for keeping us fueled with coffee and lemonade this morning!

The best part? We're just getting started. There are still so many great events happening throughout the rest of Engage Wheat Ridge, and we'd love to see you there. Come meet your neighbors, make new connections, and celebrate everything that makes our community such a great place to call home.

See you at the next event!

A beautiful morning on the Clear Creek Trail this morning, as we kicked off our first Walk with the Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem!

Today we discussed keeping the Clear Creek Trail welcoming and enjoyable for everyone, along with the importance of investing in Wheat Ridge's future, including the opportunity for a modern civic and public safety campus on the Lutheran Legacy site.

Thanks to everyone who joined us! Our next walk is Thursday, July 16, at 7:30 a.m. at the Youngfield Trailhead. Hope to see you there! We also have Coffee with the Mayor this Saturday July 11, at 9:00am at The Green.
