What do you love most about being a foodie? To help influence local entrepreneurship? Well, absolutely. But alsooooo to be invited to badass events here in Wichita.

I was grateful to be invited to a recent pop-up over KYURAMEN in collaboration w/ Nortons Brewing Co.. They invited a small group to check out an appetizer and b**r pairing. They were intentionally and perfectly curated. Some of my favorite pairings were the deep-fried gyoza + Ride the Lightning and the Fried Oysters w/ Polkadot Princess. It was a fun and inviting experience. Thank you kyuramen.midwest for the invite.

You guys, I just tried Doc Greens Gourmet Salads & Grill for the first time. (Crazy work, I know.) I have been sick for the last few days, but I decided to splurge on my first real meal in a while, and I wanted something healthyish. I had no idea what to get, so I went w/ a safe choice for my tummy: their grilled veggie salad. It was huge and pretty tasty. Liked their balsamic vinaigrette dressing.

I definitely won’t sleep on this place anymore. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘆’𝗮𝗹𝗹, 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁: 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝗜 𝗮𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲?

I absolutely love . They have amazing smash burgers, and on Friday you can get $10 burgers with fries! One of the best steals around.

Have you been to Tor Brewing?

I went back to brunch FioRito Ristorante today. This has become my go-to brunch spot. Today I got their hangover fried rice, which had a unique, spicy flavor I loved. (It has bacon, jalapeño, sunny egg, corn, peanut, spicy mayo, black garlic, & pickled red onion.) The breakfast sando my mom ordered looked delicious as well.

It really doesn’t matter how hot it is, I’m ready to eat pho. Pho Ong 8 on Harry is currently my favorite. Any other pho lunatics slurping that lovely broth in this heat?

The Kitchen just started doing brunch! I went today and ordered the Chipotle Sunrise Bowl which ended up being this week’s favorite bite. It’s slow braised chipotle pork over breakfast potatoes w/ peppers, onions, Peruvian sauce, chipotle-lime crema, pico de gallo and egg. This was an unexpected hit. Their espresso marini was delicious and made w/ Il Primo Espresso Caffe. They brought out a fun gluten free option to try: their polenta Benedict, which was delicious and light. Will def be coming to try more of their brunch menu. You really can’t go wrong here, whatever time of day. Love the warm and friendly staff.
