A few things packed out of the greenhouse for tomorrow morning at the Islands Farmers' & Community Market .

We will be at the Lighthouse Baptist Church 9-12 Saturday.

If you're interested in making your own pepper powder(like peprika but with different types of peppers) ask David Smith of David Smith Farms what peppers he still has on the plants and what is in bloom for fall. I'm trying to talk him in to helping me out this Saturday at the Islands Farmers' & Community Market

We picked a bunch of different peppers so I could try to make my own. Here are some pictures of my efforts so far.

PSA: As many people are turning to nature for medicinal plants and plant products, please be aware of state and federal rules governing sale or transfer of natural resources.

I Googled saw palmetto uses because...well inquiring minds and farm with beautiful GA transitional wetlands foliage.

Georgia (as well as Florida -check your state) regulates and requires certification/proof of well everything including landowner permission (even if you are the landowner you are required to certify that you gave yourself permission to harvest) dates, amount harvested, total transaction weights if selling, amount sold for with copies of transaction documents. But let me ask this. WHY DOES OUR GOVERNMENT ALLOW THE DESTRUCTION OF OUR FORESTS AND WETLANDS TO BUILD DATA CENTERS, WEARHOUSES AND HIGH DENSITY DEVELOPMENTS WITHOUT WILDLIFE AND ECOLOGICAL SURVEYS?????
