WSU Tech is a technical + community college all-in-one and offers transferable general education courses that are guaranteed by the Kansas Board of Regents to transfer to any public college or university in Kansas. WSU Tech degree/certificate program options:
• Associate of Applied Science (AAS): Typically a 2-Year Program
• Technical Certificate (TC): Typically a 1-Year Program
• Certificate of Completion (COC): Usually completed in less than 1 semester

High school students can take technical courses for FREE or reduced general education courses through the JumpStart program at WSU Tech.

The Veterinary Nursing Program takes on the Kansas State Fair 🐷🐾
This past weekend, our WSU Tech Vet Nursing students partnered with K-State veterinary students at the Kansas State Fair to share their skills and knowledge with fairgoers through hands-on community education.
During interactive demonstrations, students guided fairgoers of all ages through a variety of veterinary nursing skills, including everything from using a stethoscope to practicing bandaging and suturing! 🩺

Our Criminal Justice program is built for students interested in careers across law enforcement, corrections, probation, parole and other areas of public service.
You’ll build practical knowledge in areas like:
🚓 Criminal investigation
📝 Interviewing + report writing
⚖️ Criminal law + procedures
🏛️ Corrections + juvenile justice
Already have law enforcement experience? You may also be able to earn credit for prior learning, including police academy training and work experience.
Whether you’re just getting started or ready to build on experience you already have, this program is designed to help you move forward.

We have programs starting in October, which means you can still begin this semester without waiting until January.
October-start options include Business Administration, Accounting, Operations Management, Digital Marketing, Logistics & Supply Chain and Criminal Justice.
Interested in something else? You may still be able to start this fall by knocking out general education classes before spring.

Today, WSU Tech recognizes Constitution Day, an opportunity to learn more about the U.S. Constitution and its role in our country.
Students can stop by Constitution Day and National Voter Registration Day tables at NCAT, City Center and South Campus today to explore resources, learn more and find voter registration information.
Take a few minutes to stop by, ask questions and get informed. 🇺🇸

WSU Tech offers transferable general education courses designed to help you knock out core classes at an affordable price while keeping your options open.
Take courses in math, English, science, speech and more, then transfer eligible credits to other Kansas public colleges and universities.
And you don’t have to wait until spring to get started. Select classes begin in October.

On September 11, we pause to remember the lives lost, honor the courage of first responders and everyday heroes, and reflect on the strength that carried our country through an unimaginable day.

Starting with Gen Eds at WSU Tech, Cody found a flexible pathway to earn his bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership & Learning (OLL) at Wichita State University while building on the experience he already had without putting his career or family on hold.
