The story behind this console table I am almost finished with. Quite a while back, I had a client commission me to make him a TV stand top because his TV was too big for the stand that he had. He gave me a down payment and right before I was finished making it, he called and said never mind and told me to keep the down payment. Needless to say, I didn’t know what to do with it since it was already made, so I decided to make a console table using the top that I had made. When I started building the console table, I made the decision to go old school and not use any metal fasteners, like screws L-brackets, or even draw slides, so everything is put together with wood, glue, wooden dowels or mortise and tenons. Now that I’m almost finished and have put a golden pecan stain on the top and the drawer fronts, I need to decide what color to paint the rest of it. Should I go with white or black?
