A beautiful article about an incredible human being 💚 Sarah played so many roles in so many lives here in the BVI. To me she was a friend, an inspiration, a long time loyal customer, my daughter’s favorite dance teacher, a fellow green enthusiast, and more recently a mentor in my journey into the non-profit world. Sarah was Vice President on our Board at Satya. The first person we asked to join our mission, and perhaps even more enthusiastically optimistic about the entire project than I was when I first shared it with her. What a blessing. We promise to carry that enthusiasm into all we do. Sarah was an absolute force of light & her sense of purpose in this lifetime was unmatched. You are so missed Sarah. Thank you for being a beacon & inspiring us all to do better. 💙 May your soul rest in eternal peace. Your legacy lives on always. What a beautiful year here at the farm. Our 8th year ~ where has the time gone?
Feeling immensely grateful to our crew for making it all possible & keeping me in check 😆 especially big shout out to Thorn who somehow reads my mind, knows exactly what we need & just gets it all done 🙏🏼 over 5 years of working side by side on this land & I couldn’t ask for a better cohort 💚
To Johnson, Ace & Drakey for doing all the many random things needed to keep this place moving forward 🙏🏼 from chicken coop expansion to a kitchen build to digging massive trenches through the walkways & running power lines, & then of course the never ending beautification of our orchard & venue space ~ thank you 💚
Gratitude to my husband who invests so much in so many ways to the farm. & who really believes in me & the vision of what we are creating up here ❤️ & thank you to my dad who comes to visit for vacation & then spends his time working on the farm, building roofs, & making all my crazy ideas a reality. To be a woman with a big dream who is supported by all these empowering men is perhaps one of the biggest blessings of my life 🙏🏼❤️✨
Thank you to my CSA members & to the chefs who have supported me all these years. Thank you to Peter Island for your consistency & dedication to supporting a local farm & utilizing local food. We couldn’t do it without you all 💚 Thank you to all the beautiful humans who have hosted events up here at the farm & those who have attended them. I stepped away from hosting the events myself & really enjoyed just being the venue this year. The village of souls & place for conscious nature based co-creation that has been built up here is beyond all my expectations & means the world to me ❤️ here’s to more of that in 2026 ✨🌹✨
& to conclude my sappy ‘life is so beautiful, I’m so grateful for it all’ rant, thank you to my epic little daughter Flo who keeps it all so real & grounded in love & joy & tantrums too.
