🧵 Everyone argues about whether mining "pays off." Almost nobody writes down the actual formula.

So here it is — how a miner breaks even, as real maths you can run on your own numbers. No promises. Just arithmetic 👇

Break-even is one line:

Break-even = upfront cost ÷ (daily reward − daily maintenance).

Everything else is just finding those three numbers honestly.

The trap: people stare at "daily reward" and forget to subtract what they pay to keep mining running.

So work it in that order, with your own figures:

1. What you paid upfront.
2. What it earns per day, gross.
3. What maintenance costs per day.

Your real daily isn't #2. It's #2 − #3.

That net number is the only one that pays back your cost. Everything starts there.

Now watch what a down market does to that net. Maintenance barely moves. Reward moves with BTC.

So if your reward roughly halves and your cost stays put, your net doesn't just halve — your break-even stretches out fast.

A fixed cost against a moving reward bends the timeline hard.

So where's the leverage? Not on the price — on the cost side, which you actually control.

Here's the lever most people miss: pay your maintenance in GOMINING and it's discounted.
