Inviting all Basketball Hoopers, Clubs and Associations to register their teams before the 15th of August. Our Divisions are U12, U15 and U18 Boys & Girls aswell as Mens & Womens OPENS and Veterans Mix 40+ 3 Male / 2 Female. Proof of age is mandatory for our Underage Divisions ( Birth Certificate Required ) . Players who play in the U12 Divisions may not turn 13 anytime this year. Same rule applies for U15 & U18. A Samoan Daughter Guiding the Next Wave of Women in Basketball 🏀

Lori's pride in the team’s growth was matched by her belief in the future of women’s basketball in Samoa. She viewed the 2026 FIBA U18 FIBA Women's Asia Cup as a foundation for something bigger, a future where young Samoan women can see themselves on the court, representing their country with confidence and belonging.

“These opportunities help the girls grow as women,” she said. “They need this to explore who they are, to feel comfortable, and to find themselves.”

🇼🇸🏀 SHOUT-OUT TO THE SMITH USOS — GALEN SMITH JR. (LUA) AND NBA STAR TOLU SMITH! 🏀🇼🇸

Samoa Basketball is proud to recognise and celebrate brothers Lua and Tolu Smith, two talented professional basketball players of Samoan heritage who continue to make their family and community proud.

Lua has built an impressive basketball journey of his own, playing college basketball in the United States before taking his talents overseas and competing professionally in Europe. His dedication, perseverance and commitment to the game are an inspiration to aspiring Samoan athletes.

Standing at 6 feet 11 inches, Tolu was a two-time First-Team All-SEC selection at Mississippi State University before progressing to the NBA G League and now playing for the Detroit Pistons—an outstanding achievement that reflects his determination and hard work.

In June 2026, SNBA President caught up with Tolu at his basketball clinic in Kahuku, Hawaii, and was impressed by his humility, professionalism and genuine commitment to giving back to young athletes.

We are proud of Lua and Tolu for embracing their Samoan heritage and for the positive example they are setting through basketball. Their achievements are a source of pride for Samoa and our wider Pacific basketball community.
