September tends to be when a lot of families start thinking about the next reunion, and this property was genuinely built to handle one.
With rooms, including connecting layouts, groups booking six or more rooms get dedicated support and access to room blocks, so cousins, grandparents, and everyone in between can stay near each other instead of scattered across town. The activities are the kind that work for a six-year-old and a seventy-year-old.
If your family's been talking about a reunion, we'd love to help plan it.

Not every activity on the ranch requires a saddle or a helmet. Our private lake is stocked with bluegill, bass, and catfish, and it's catch-and-release, so it's less about what you take home and more about the hour or two of quiet you get sitting at the water's edge.
Cooler September mornings make for good fishing weather and an even better excuse to slow down before the rest of the day gets going. Bring the kids, bring your own gear or use ours, and settle in.

Our mountain biking trails are built to be ridden fast. Real single-track, real elevation change, real reason to hold on a little tighter through the turns. It's the activity that surprises guests who came expecting a mellow week.
If you're the type who needs at least one adrenaline activity on every trip, this is yours.

After a full day of riding, hiking, or whatever else you filled your schedule with, are you the type to head to the Dog House Saloon for a nightcap and conversation, or the type who wants a quiet porch, a blanket, and the stars doing all the entertaining?
We see both every single night, and honestly, most guests end up doing a little of each before the trip is over. Which one are you leaning towards?

Some wedding dates just feel written in the stars.
Brooklynne & David said "I do" on 10.24.25 — a date with such a beautiful cadence, it made their whole day feel even more magical. 🤍
There's something so romantic about choosing a wedding date that mirrors your own love story. If you're still searching for "the one," we have a few upcoming dates that might just be it:
11.11.27 (Thursday) — 11:11 is the angel number for new beginnings, alignment, and manifesting your dreams. Pretty perfect symbolism for the start of forever.
11.11.28 (Saturday) — The same angel number magic, this time landing on a Saturday. A meaningful date to make a wish, set an intention, and say "I do."
02.29.28 (Tuesday) — A Leap Day wedding for a once-in-a-lifetime kind of love. Your anniversary will only come around once every four years.
All three dates are still available, but we don't expect that to last. If one of these speaks to you, send us a message and let's start planning your forever date.

September one of our favorite stretches of the calendar to actually slow down and look closely at the landscape instead of just moving through it.
Our Nature Center offers naturalist-led experiences and guided walks built around the desert ecology surrounding the ranch, with educational presentations that go deeper than a passing glance.
No prior knowledge required, just curiosity. Come see the desert through a naturalist's eyes this fall.

Our wranglers do a lot more than lead trail rides. Between Horsemanship Fundamentals for beginners, Intermediate Horsemanship for guests looking to build real skill, and Lope Check assessments before anyone heads out on faster rides, they spend a good part of the day teaching.
Next time you're in the saddle, ask your wrangler what they're working on with you. There's usually more going on than it looks like from the ground.

Our Cowboy Cookout is as close as you'll get to a real desert campfire supper.
Grilled meats straight off the fire, homemade cornbread, seasonal fruit, and desserts that never last long enough. A band plays while the sky turns from orange to navy, and somewhere around the second helping, strangers start talking like neighbors.
It's not a show. It's just how we eat out here. Ask us about the current cookout schedule and come hungry.

Throwing it back to Arielle & Nick's November 2024 wedding at Tanque Verde Ranch 🤍
November is peak wedding season out here in the Sonoran Desert, and this day is a perfect example of why. We're still swooning over the bridesmaids' dresses — each one a little different, all of them working together beautifully, that gorgeous veil catching the desert light, and of course, this stunning couple saying "I do" against our mountain backdrop.
Already dreaming about a fall 2027 wedding? Now's the time to start planning. Our November dates go fast every year, reach out to schedule a tour and start building your day at Tanque Verde Ranch

September on the ranch is a little bit of a trick to pack for. Warm afternoons, genuinely cool mornings and evenings, and enough dust that you'll want clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
Our go-to advice? Layers you can add and shed through the day, real boots or sturdy shoes, a light jacket for the evenings, and sunscreen even though it doesn't feel like peak summer anymore.
Save this if you're planning a stay soon, and let us know in the comments if we missed anything you'd add to the list.
