Sarah Lightner - State Representative

🍂 Happy first day of fall!
There’s something special about this time of year—cooler mornings, changing leaves, Friday night lights, and time spent with family, friends, and neighbors.

As we welcome a new season, I’m grateful for the people and communities that make our state such a wonderful place to call home. Wishing everyone a safe, healthy, and beautiful fall! 🍁

Today, we honor the men and women who have proudly served in the United States Air Force and those who continue to defend our nation from the skies.
On this anniversary, we recognize the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of our Airmen, veterans, and their families. Their commitment to protecting our freedoms and keeping our nation safe deserves our deepest gratitude.

Thank you to all who have answered the call to serve. We are forever grateful for your service and sacrifice. 🇺🇸✈️

Today, we honor Constitution Day and reflect on the principles that form the foundation of our republic.
The Constitution protects our freedoms, establishes the rule of law, and reminds us that government exists to serve the people. As a state representative, I’m proud to uphold these principles and remain committed to serving our community with integrity and respect.

Happy Constitution Day! 🇺🇸

Today, on Patriot Day, we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001.
We honor the victims, the families who continue to carry their loss, and the brave first responders, military members, and everyday Americans who answered the call with courage and selflessness.

Twenty-five years later, we must never forget the unity and strength our nation showed in the face of unimaginable tragedy. May we continue to honor their memory by standing together, serving our communities, and cherishing the freedoms that make America exceptional.

God bless the families who lost loved ones, God bless our first responders, and God bless the United States of America. 🇺🇸

🇺🇸 Happy Labor Day! 🇺🇸
Today, we honor the hardworking people who keep our communities, state, and country moving forward. From teachers and nurses to skilled tradespeople, small business owners, first responders, farmers, and every working family — thank you for all that you do.

Labor Day is a reminder that hard work matters, working people deserve respect, and every Michigander should have the opportunity to build a good life and a strong future.

Happy Labor Day!

Hunting isn't just a pastime here in Michigan, it's a tradition passed down through generations, one that keeps us connected to the outdoors and to each other.

As your State Representative, I'll always defend our right to hunt and protect the heritage that comes with it.
