KSCFEST takes ‘Dance for Safer Streets’ campaign to Galeshewe

The Street Culture Festival (KSCFEST) is taking its Dance for Safer Streets activation to Galeshewe this Saturday, 03 October with the Amacombo Dance Battle set to take place at the Galeshewe Pick n Pay Circle.

The activation forms part of an initiative aimed at raising awareness about violence and crime affecting young people, including robbery, assault and murder.

Through dance, music and other elements of street culture, KSCFEST is using creative expression as a tool to encourage positive community behaviour and promote safer public spaces.

Organisers say the activation is not a protest, but rather a creative expression against violence and a call for communities to collectively promote respect, safety and positive behaviour.

The Amacombo Dance Battle is expected to bring together young people and community members through street culture, using the energy of dance and music to deliver a message that safer communities can be built together.

GALESHEWE, WE’RE PULLING UP🔥 ! This Saturday, Amacombo takes over the streets. Dance for the culture. Dance for safer streets. 🛑
Pull up. Battle. Witness. 🕺
