Not every Gestalt user or echolalia user is the same. It can be indirectly harmful to put them all into the same box under the same label, when there are multiple reasons why chunks of language are used. Comprehension, coordination (DCD/ Apraxia) and vocal stimming are 3 common reasons for gestalt use, and you don’t want to support each child the same way. 🔥Look at the child in front of you and use individualized goal setting and methods of support 🔥🙌🏻

Why does progress sometimes look like regression? What is actually happening when our children start using more single words, instead of “gestalts” or “echolalia”. They may be speaking less, but language development is moving forward 🔥🙌🏻

Pilates at Whizzkidz
Pilates can be a wonderful form of movement for children on the spectrum and children with other developmental or support needs. Through slow, controlled exercises, it helps develop core strength, body awareness, balance, and coordination. Pilates may also support sensory processing and provide a calming, structured environment that can help regulate the nervous system. Every child is unique, and sessions can be adapted to suit their individual strengths, needs, and goals.

A++ for teaching autonomy! 🙌🏻For our little ones who are “too compliant”, our throwers, our screamers, our demand sensitive little ones, a good NO is life-changing…. But first, the over-generalization of the rule 🫠🫠😝😝🤣 https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSXbnm9x4/
