_Sayyidatuna ‘Aishah رضي الله عنها reports that Rasulullah ﷺ said:_

*‘Whoever recites the following surahs 7 times, after the Jumu’ah salah, will be protected till the following Jumu’ah:*
- Surah Ihklas,
- Surah Falaq
- Surah Nas

*_(‘Amalul yawmi wal laylah of Ibnus Sunni, Hadith: 375)_*

Today being the blessed day of Friday, let us:
1. Recite Surah Kahf
2. Engage in fervent duaa
3. Send abundant Salutations on our Beloved Nabi ﷺ.

Dear Parents

Please note that we will be having a Spelling Bee for Grade 2 and Grade 3 learners in Term 3, 2026.

Round 1: Preliminary (Written) Round
This will take place on the first day of Term 3, Tuesday, 21 July 2026.
It is compulsory for all learners to participate. All learners will complete a written spelling assessment.

The top spellers from each grade will proceed to Round 2: Final Round on Tuesday, 04 August 2026.

For Round 2, top spellers will receive a new list of words to prepare for the final round. Grade 3 learners will be required to spell words aloud, while Grade 2 learners will be given words to write on their whiteboards and display (“flash”) their answers.

Please note that no parents will be allowed for either round.

The spelling list will be sent home with learners tomorrow so that they may practise over the holidays.

_Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنهما narrates:_

_“While I was standing amongst the people who were invoking Allah for `Umar Ibn Al Khattab رضي الله عنه who was lying (dead) on his bed, a man behind me rested his elbows on my shoulder and said,_
_“O `Umar! May Allah bestow His Mercy on you. I always hoped that Allah will keep you with your two companions, for I often heard Allah’s Messenger ﷺ saying,_
*“I, Abu Bakr and `Umar were (somewhere). I, Abu Bakr and `Umar did (something). I, Abu Bakr and `Umar set out. So I hoped that Allah will keep you with both of them.”*
_I turned back to see that the speaker was `Ali Ibn Abi Talib رضي الله عنه_
