Boxed AI

Free AI sounds great. Until you read the fine print.

When an AI tool is free, someone else owns the infrastructure. And the data on it. Your client records, your financials, your competitive intelligence — all sitting on a third-party server, outside your control.

For South African businesses handling regulated data, "free AI" can be the most expensive decision you make.

Here is what compliant AI looks like:

- Runs on YOUR server, not someone else's
- Full audit trail of every action
- POPIA-aligned by design
- Month-to-month, no lock-in
- Purpose-built for your industry, not a generic wrapper

The same AI power. None of the exposure.

Prosus just launched free AI tools for South African businesses. Generous move.

But let us be honest about what "free" means in the AI world.

Free means someone else owns the infrastructure. And the data on it. Your client contracts, your financial records, your competitive intelligence — all sitting on a third-party server, training someone else's models.

There is a different path.

Boxed AI deploys private AI agents on your network. Your data never leaves your building. POPIA-aligned by design. Month-to-month contracts with no lock-in.

The same week South Africa's biggest tech company offered free AI, we are reminding business owners that private AI costs less than the risk of the alternative.

Free 1-week pilot. We deploy. You watch. Then you decide.

So what does Boxed AI actually do?

We build AI agents that run your business operations — not chatbots that just talk.

Here's what that looks like:

📥 Auto-reply agents that handle your emails 24/7 with personality
📱 WhatsApp & Signal AI that respond to customers while you sleep
🗂️ Workflow automation that connects your tools and eliminates manual steps
💬 Multi-agent setups — Sales agent, Finance agent, Admin agent — each specialised for a role

Built for South African SMEs. No dev team required. Live in days, not months.

Free discovery call. No obligation. Real answers.

Book 30 minutes with Boxed AI and we'll:

✅ Identify your highest-cost manual processes
✅ Show you exactly where AI can save you time & money
✅ Give you a concrete plan — even if you don't work with us

SA SMEs typically save R50k-R500k/year by automating admin, follow-ups, and customer comms.

Your competitors are already doing it. The only question is when you start.

Your next hire doesn't sleep, doesn't take lunch, and costs a fraction of a salary.

AI agents aren't sci-fi. SA businesses are deploying them NOW:

📞 Customer queries on WhatsApp — answered 24/7
📧 Email triage & response — automatic
📊 Daily reports — generated without anyone asking
🔄 Lead follow-ups — before they go cold

The businesses winning with AI aren't the biggest. They're the ones that moved first.

Boxed AI builds these agents for you. Custom. Connected. On autopilot.

What could your team do with 20+ hours back every week?

The best time to deploy AI was yesterday. The second best time is today.

Every month you spend "evaluating AI options" is a month your competitors are already using it.

Here's what makes Boxed AI different from a 12-month digital transformation project:

Day 1: Install on your server
Day 2: Configure for your industry
Day 3: Train your team (2-hour session)
Day 4: Start seeing results

Four days from decision to deployment.

We work across mining, manufacturing, construction, financial services, marketing, sales, project development and admin.

If you've been waiting for the right time to explore AI that actually fits your business — this is it.

Unplanned downtime costs South African manufacturers over R50 billion every year.

Most of it is preventable.

Boxed AI for Manufacturing analyses your production and maintenance data to predict equipment failures before they happen. No more reacting to breakdowns at 2am.

What it looks like in practice:
✅ Predictive maintenance scheduling based on actual equipment data
✅ Quality control reports generated in real-time
✅ Production schedules optimised automatically
✅ Supplier communications drafted and sent

All running on your network. Your factory data stays on your factory floor.

If you're running a manufacturing operation and still relying on spreadsheets and gut feel for maintenance — let's talk.

What does a private AI employee actually DO all day?

Three real examples from real Boxed AI deployments.

MINING & ENGINEERING
One agent reads 200+ documents in a project data room — prospectuses, CPRs, feasibility studies, mining licences — and produces a scored due-diligence report in under 3 hours. 87% faster than the old manual process.

CONSTRUCTION & PROJECTS
NDA triage, term-sheet drafting, proposal generation, overnight lead qualification — all running on one agent. The team wakes up to a ranked list of new opportunities every morning. R1.2M+ in proposals generated weekly.

MANUFACTURING & ENERGY
Quote generation, invoice processing, CRM updates, customer feedback synthesis. Trade-secret process data never leaves the factory floor. 22+ hours saved per week.

Three businesses. Three industries. Same playbook:
1. One agent
2. One painful task
3. One week to prove the value

If there's a repetitive, high-volume task in your business eating hours — let's run a free pilot on it.

Real question for South African business owners.

Where does your client data actually go when your team uses ChatGPT?

If you don't know — that's the first thing worth finding out today.

Every time someone on your team pastes a document into a cloud AI tool:
- It leaves your network
- It travels to a foreign server
- It can be used to train future models
- You have no audit trail of who sent what, when
- POPIA doesn't care that "you didn't mean to"

Cloud AI works. It's fast. It's cheap. For non-sensitive work, it's perfectly fine.

But for client info, financials, project data, IP, or anything regulated — it's a leak waiting to happen.

The alternative isn't "no AI". It's PRIVATE AI.

- Runs on your server
- Learns your business
- Full audit log of every action
- POPIA-aligned by design
- Same AI power, none of the exposure

We built Boxed AI for exactly this reason.

Today we're launching Boxed AI — and here's the story behind it.

A few of us — entrepreneurs, business owners, project developers, IT folks — kept smashing into the same wall. We loved the businesses we'd built but were drowning in everything that came with running them.

Lead qualification. Quote drafting. Customer feedback. Project assessments across hundreds of documents. Reporting. Admin eating every weekend.

We tried ChatGPT and Copilot and others. Useful tools — but pasting client data into a cloud we don't control? Not for any of us. Some of our businesses are regulated. All of them have data we'd never want to leak.

So we built our own AI employees. Private. On our own infrastructure. Trained on our actual businesses.

What changed:
- 10x efficiency on document-heavy work
- Better customer service (faster responses, follow-ups never missed)
- More sales (lead qualification while we slept)
- Brand reach we couldn't have hit alone
- Data that finally works FOR us

Now we build the same for our clients across mining, energy, construction, manufacturing — and growing.

If you've ever thought "AI sounds great but I can't risk our data on someone else's server" — that's exactly the problem we solve.

Free 1-week pilot for any business that wants to test it.
