Not a Chef

One of my favourite things to smoke: 🍆🍆🍆! Serving with maple-lime dressing, spring onions and salted peanuts.

I had a ton of granadillas in the garden (that the monkeys miraculously did not eat!), and needed to find a good use for them, so I made this delicious snack for our girls today, and it's a hit!

To easily separate the granadilla pulp from the seeds, use your Thermomix TM7: heat the pulp at 100°C (use Reverse Blade) to dissolve the membranes, then use the Reverse Blade function on speed 4 to knock the flesh off the seeds. Strain the mixture through your simmering basket or a fine-mesh sieve.

Today I decided to bake one of my absolute favourites — focaccia with sea salt flakes and rosemary fresh from my garden 🌿

Such simple ingredients, yet the result is nothing short of exquisite. I baked this one in a smaller pan for a thicker, fluffier finish… and let me tell you — slice it horizontally and you’ve got the *perfect* lunchtime sandwich.

I served mine with butter (because everything is better with butter, right?), wild rocket, prosciutto, s’Brinz (think Alpine, grass-fed goodness… you can almost hear the cowbells 🐄🔔), vine-ripened tomatoes, and roasted red peppers with a touch of Dijon mustard.

And that smell… warm bread filling the house… completely irresistible.
