Today, members of the Climate Change Innovators Club successfully conducted a community sensitisation programme along Nationalist Road near the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) as part of our preparations for the upcoming Climate Campaign.
Our team engaged members of the public on the importance of environmental conservation, climate change awareness, proper waste management, tree planting, and the role every individual can play in building a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Zambia.
This initiative reflects our commitment to educating communities and inspiring collective action towards protecting our environment for present and future generations.
A heartfelt thank you to all our dedicated members, volunteers, and everyone who took the time to interact with us. Together, we can make a lasting difference.

๐ Redefining the Narrative: Lived Experiences in the Energy Transition
Stories have power. They turn statistics into reality, and data into human faces.
Recently, members of the Climate Innovators Club attended an incredible storytelling workshop hosted by the Africa Climate Alliance. The focus? Exploring how climate change and energy access directly impact our daily lives, and understanding what a truly just energy transition looks like.
Key Takeaways from the Workshop
Humanizing the Crisis: Climate change isnโt just an environmental issue; itโs an economic and social reality that alters how we live, work, and survive.
The Heart of Energy Justice: A transition away from fossil fuels must be fair. It cannot leave vulnerable communities behind or replicate old inequalities. True justice means clean, reliable, and affordable energy for everyone.
Amplifying Local Voices: True innovation starts with listening. The most powerful solutions come from the people who are navigating these energy challenges firsthand.
Our Mission Moving Forward: As climate innovators, our job isn't just to build technical solutions or talk about policy. We need to tell the stories that matter, shifting the narrative from abstract global targets to real, community-led impact.
A massive thank you to the Africa Climate Alliance for hosting such a vital space for reflection and advocacy!

On the 22nd of May, 2026. Climate Innovators Club
Hosted its first Clean up campaign at the University of Zambia Ridgeway Campus. The club whose members largely comprise students decided to start from home, a campaign not only to identify and remove pollutants but to improve sanitary conditions within the campus grounds.
This campaign was carried out in collaboration with UNZASOPHA,UNZASPHA UNZAEHSA, and KK Service Zambia Limited, who donated cleaning material used to carry out the campaign.
The success of the campaign has encouraged all the organization/associations present to plan and conduct more campaigns cleaning and awareness on the effects of pollutants and how it negatively contributes to climate change.
We thank all parties and students who answered to call and took part in the campaign.
We are hoping to see you next time.
