Zambia is trying to reduce its expensive debt and save money in the long run.
What happened?
Zambia owes money through Eurobonds (international loans from investors).
These Eurobonds are expensive because they have high interest rates.
The government has decided to buy back some of these bonds worth about US$1.3 billion.
How does the buyback work?
Imagine you borrowed K1,000 from someone and still owe the full amount.
Now that person says:
> "If you pay me K780 today, I'll cancel the entire K1,000 debt."
That's essentially what Zambia is doing.
The government is buying back bonds at about 78 cents for every US$1 owed, meaning it can eliminate debt for less than the full amount.
Where is the money coming from?
Mainly a US$600 million loan from the African Development Bank.
This loan is much cheaper than the Eurobonds.
Why is this good?
✅ Less interest to pay in the future.
✅ Less total debt because some bonds are being cancelled.
✅ More money for public services such as schools, hospitals, roads, agriculture, and social programs.
✅ Better reputation with investors and lenders because Zambia is actively managing its debt.
What does it mean for ordinary Zambians?
When the government spends less money on debt repayments, it has more money available for:
Education
Healthcare
Infrastructure
Farming support
Social welfare programs
It doesn't mean people will immediately see more money in their pockets, but it can help improve government finances and create more room for development spending over time.
Simple summary
Zambia is using a cheaper loan to pay off a more expensive loan at a discount. This should reduce future interest payments, lower debt costs, and make the country's finances more sustainable.

Arsenal in the final

Arsenal are widely considered the favourites to win the title this season, leading the league and holding strong odds in betting markets. Their chance of finishing first remains highest in many predictions.
Manchester City are seen as the main challengers — still firmly in contention and not far behind Arsenal.
📊 What Predictions Say
Statistical models and supercomputer forecasts still point to a high likelihood of Arsenal winning, assuming they maintain form and consistency.
Other clubs like Manchester United or Aston Villa have shown good form recently but are more realistically chasing top-four spots than the title itself.
🧠 Other Contenders
Liverpool – Historically big contenders, but current form has been inconsistent, making them less favoured than Arsenal/City right now.
Aston Villa – Have had moments this season but are still underdogs for the title.
📌 Quick Summary
🥇 Top Contender: Arsenal (favourites)
🥈 Strong Challenger: Manchester City
🟡 Possible but Less Likely: Liverpool, Aston Villa, Manchester United
⚽ The title race could still shift as the season progresses — especially if Arsenal or City drop points — but as of now, Arsenal are most likely to win the Premier League 2025-26.

The results speak for themselves.
Arsenal won 3–2 last night to finish top of their Champions League group.
Played 8 games, won all 8, and qualified for the next round as group leaders.
This is no coincidence. Arsenal are also top of the EPL, yet we remain calm and focused — no noise, no hype, unlike the team in 4th place.
Quality shows.
