Developmental Disability Awareness and Inclusion

I am a teacher who wears an extra pair of eyes. They allow me to see the learner long before I see the lesson plan.
​Before we open a textbook, those eyes look at the faces in front of me to find the hungry child, the tired child, or the worried child. I see the one who needs a moment of love before they ever need a lesson in Math or English. Because at the end of the day, their wellbeing is my real lesson plan.
