🎉 We are proud to share some great news from Neuwied: Our L&R production site has been honored with the Green Excellence Award by the Lean & Green Initiative of the T&O Group.

The award recognizes organizations that successfully combine Lean Management with sustainability, continuously improving their processes while using resources more efficiently. This year, more than 130 companies took part in the assessment.

The jury was particularly impressed by our holistic approach: Lean Management, sustainability, and continuous improvement are closely integrated and firmly embedded in our day-to-day operations. 🌱 This achievement belongs above all to the people behind it.

❓How can digital wound management specifically relieve healthcare professionals in everyday care ❓

This is the question that the NursIT Institute GmbH and Lohmann & Rauscher (L&R) in Germany 🇩🇪will jointly explore going forward. In a new collaboration, we are combining our expertise: L&R contributes many years of experience in wound care and medical technology, while the NursIT Institute brings expertise in digital care applications, interoperable healthcare platforms, and AI-supported assistance systems.

The focus is on digital approaches that make care-relevant data easier to capture, use, and access — with the aim of making processes more efficient and providing stronger support for healthcare professionals in wound management.

This is an important step toward providing new impetus for the further development of digital wound management!

🥳 Great success at our 1st apprenticeship assessment in Vienna, Austria!
At some of our locations, we are not only an employer, but also a vocational training center. Sharing knowledge and offering a place to grow are close to our hearts in many ways — especially for the younger generation.

From more than 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ applications for the apprenticeship position as a medical device sales specialist, we invited the top 8️⃣ candidates to an assessment at our Vienna headquarters. During these hours, the candidates were able to learn a lot about us as a company and about the apprenticeship itself — but above all, we had the opportunity to get to know the candidates, and our future apprentices, better. In addition to individual introductions and a shared exchange, there was also a task that was worked on and presented in small groups. The top 4️⃣ were invited to a second interview before we made our final decision.

♥️ 💚 We are looking forward to September, when we will welcome and train 2️⃣ apprentices as medical device sales specialists at L&R.

Bringing Global Expertise Together in Vienna 🌍💚
From 29 June to 2 July 2026, around 40 participants from 13 countries came together in Vienna to explore L&R’s product portfolio and deepen their expertise at our International Product Workshop. 🙌

The workshop focused on practical insights into wound care, compression therapy, operating room solutions, CNP and MDR, complemented by valuable knowledge sharing and collaborative learning.

Beyond the training sessions, the programme offered plenty of opportunities for international networking, meaningful conversations and fresh perspectives. 🤝✨

A big thank-you to everyone who made this workshop possible, and to all participants for their curiosity, openness and engagement! 💚

The evening also served as a farewell to Commercial Counsellor Mr. Herwig Neuper. We wish him the absolute best in his new diplomatic mission in Vietnam!
