πŸš’πŸ‘§πŸ½πŸ‘¦πŸ½ Little visitors, big lessons in fire safety!

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the Anguilla Fire and Rescue Service welcomed pupils from all six primary schools to the fire station as part of Fire Prevention Week 2026.

The visits gave our young learners an opportunity to learn about fire safety and the work of the Fire Service. Teaching children about fire safety from an early age helps build a safer community. ❀️πŸ”₯

Thank you to the pupils, teachers and accompanying adults for joining us, and to our firefighters for supporting the visits.

Service with Confidence.

πŸš²πŸ”‹ For tools and rides, charge outside!

The Anguilla Fire and Rescue Service is sharing today’s NFPA fire safety tip:

βœ… Charge large items like e-bikes, scooters, and power tools outside when possible.
πŸšͺ Do not block exits when charging.

πŸ’‘ Why it matters: These batteries are larger and store more energy. Fires can grow quickly if the battery fails.

πŸ”Œ Soft surface? Hard pass!

The Anguilla Fire and Rescue Service is sharing today’s NFPA fire safety tip:

βœ… Charge on a hard, flat surface like a table, desk, or bare floor.

⚠️ Beds, couches, and pillows can trap heat and block airflow, which can cause a battery to overheat.
