Driving the Future of Tourism & Hospitality Education!

We are pleased to share that the official analytical report and chronological publication covering the recent roundtable discussion hosted by the Faculty of Tourism, Hospitality and Environment Management (FMTHM) at Haxhi Zeka University (UHZ) has been published!

The event brought together university leadership (Rector Prof. Dr. Armand Krasniqi & Dean Prof. Dr. Afrim Selimi), institutional representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (Muhedin Nushi & Lulzim Syla), and key industry stakeholders to address a critical challenge: aligning higher education with real labor market demands based on an extensive study of 124 hospitality businesses.
Our co-founder, Rudina Efendiu Lila, represented GUIDEKS on the main discussion panel, addressing "Professional Competencies in a Transforming Industry." Her contribution highlighted: Digital Transformation: Adapting to new technologies and platforms reshaping tourism.
Essential Skill Sets: Elevating intercultural communication, destination promotion, and customer experience management. Curriculum Evolution: Updating academic frameworks to match international standards and fast-paced industry changes. Stronger public-private-academic partnerships and enhanced practical training are key to building a competitive, future-ready workforce!
