First steps in tech are better when you don’t take them alone.

Over the past few weeks, our interns got to experience software development from the inside: working alongside Folder IT developers, learning from their mentors, asking questions, testing ideas, and getting a closer look at what building software as a team is really like.

Now it’s time to say goodbye to this group! 👋🏼

We hope they leave with new skills, good memories, and a much clearer picture of where a career in tech can take them. Thanks for being part of Folder IT for a while 🫂

We asked AI to say Happy Programmer’s Day. It got... emotional 🥺

We know. You were probably expecting a different AI to do the greeting. The one you spend suspiciously long hours talking to.
It had 47 files open. We didn’t want to interrupt.

So we sent the backup...

Jokes aside, AI has become part of how software gets built. But behind every prompt, generated line of code, and very confident AI answer, there’s still a developer making the calls, checking the output, and deciding what actually makes it into production.

That’s why software testing is such an important part of building reliable digital products: QA professionals challenge assumptions, explore edge cases, and catch unexpected behavior before it reaches production.

Turns out saying goodbye is the hardest part of our Internship Program 🥺

They came here to learn, but having them around became part of our everyday life too.

So yes, their last day at Folder IT looked a little like this. We’ll miss you!

When Gen Z meets Gen Z 🤝🙂‍↔️

Our Internship Program gives students their first hands-on experience in the software industry, working alongside professionals who guide them through real projects, questions, and everything that comes with starting a career in tech.

And yes, sometimes that mentor is only 25

Plot twist: becoming a developer involves a lot less Matrix and a lot more “wait, let me show you this.”

Our interns don’t have to figure everything out alone. They learn the same way developers actually work: asking questions, looking things up, testing ideas, and figuring things out with someone more experienced by their side.

Everyone remembers being the one asking the questions. There’s something pretty cool about eventually becoming the person who helps someone else find the answers.

Doing great work takes focus, commitment, and a lot of energy. And we believe being able to disconnect, recharge, and make time for life outside of work is part of what makes that possible. ⚖️

We care about the work we deliver and the people behind it. Finding a healthy balance helps our teams come back with the energy and perspective to keep doing their best work. Because doing great work should be sustainable.
