The glottal stop is very common in British English, but you’ll also hear it frequently in many regions of the United States, especially in the Western U.S. 🇺🇸

A glottal stop is a small pause or closure in your throat that can replace the /t/ sound in certain words.

Most of these words can be pronounced with the regular T or with a glottal stop, BOTH are correct!
Mountain /maunten/ /maun’n/

Learning to recognize this technique will improve your English listening skills a LOT.
