On behalf of the ASCC Nursing Department, we would like to congratulate two of our instructors for achieving their Bachelor’s and Masters degree in Nursing. Job well done Ms. Helen and Ms. Lina👏👏

✨September Highlight ✨

This month, we are proud to recognize Lina Faafetai, RN, BSN, whose nursing journey began with caring for her parents. That experience inspired her passion for compassion, service, and caring for others.

With approximately 16 years in nursing, Ms. Lina’s journey has taken her from CNA to LPN to RN, with experience in Medical, Surgical, and Emergency Room nursing. Today, she continues her journey as a nursing instructor, helping prepare, guide, and encourage the next generation of nurses.

One of the most rewarding parts of her career is seeing her students succeed and grow into confident healthcare professionals. This month is especially meaningful as Ms. Lina celebrates another milestone in her nursing journey by earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Her advice to future nurses is, “Believe in yourself, keep going even when it gets difficult, and don’t be afraid to continue your education. Keep going, keep growing, and see how far your passion can take you.”

Her greatest legacy is not only the knowledge she shares, but the nurses she helps shape. We are proud to honor Ms. Lina and the lasting impact she continues to make on the next generation of nurses.

The ASCC Nursing students and Department want to express our heartfelt gratitude towards Dean Ropeti for her time and service she provided to all of us at ASCC. We wish you the best and pray for your health and happiness on your retirement. 💕

👉👉For the first time in the history of the ASCC Nursing Program, we have TWO RN cohorts progressing through the program at the same time! 💙

This is more than just a milestone—it represents growth, opportunity, and a stronger future for nursing in American Samoa. 🌺

As one RN cohort continues toward graduation, we are proud to welcome our newest group of 9 RN students, the RN Cohort of 2027, as they begin their three-semester journey.

Having two RN cohorts simultaneously is a reflection of how far our program has come and our continued commitment to educating, preparing, and growing our local nursing workforce.

To all of our RN students: work hard, support one another, and remember the community you are preparing to serve. We are proud to have you be part of this historic chapter for ASCC Nursing! 🩺📚🌺
