Summer invites us to slow down, explore, and enjoy life's simple pleasures.

In Ayurveda, wellbeing is not about strict rules—it is about living in harmony with the season and listening to what your body truly needs.

🌿 A few gentle reminders for the holidays:

• Begin your day with a glass of warm water before your coffee.
• Choose seasonal fruits and fresh local vegetables whenever possible.
• Enjoy at least one warm, freshly cooked meal each day to support digestion.
• Stay hydrated with water or refreshing herbal infusions such as mint, fennel, or rose.
• Walk barefoot on the grass or sand whenever you can and reconnect with nature.
• Spend less time on screens and more time watching sunsets, listening to birds, reading a good book, or simply being present.
• Allow yourself moments of rest without feeling guilty.

And yes... enjoy the ice cream. 🍦

Ayurveda is not about deprivation.
It is about awareness.

When we eat with presence, rest when we need to, and honour our body's rhythms, even simple pleasures become deeply nourishing.

✨ Reflection

What could you do today that would truly feel like a holiday for your body—not just your calendar?

🌿 Preparing the body for Summer (Pitta Season)

As we move into summer, the fire element (Pitta) naturally increases:
• more heat in the body
• stronger digestion
• rising emotions and mental intensity
• increased ambition and activity

Ayurveda invites us not to resist this — but to balance it consciously.

🌿 What to slowly add as it gets warmer:

• Eat cooling, fresh foods → cucumber, courgette, leafy greens, coriander, mint
• Still cook lightly → soups, steamed vegetables, rice, kichari
• Avoid going fully raw → digestion still needs support
• Stay well hydrated → water, fennel tea, mint tea
• Reduce overheating foods → alcohol, coffee, fried or very spicy meals
• Eat with awareness, not speed

🌿 Inner rhythm:

• slower mornings
• more space between activities
• avoid overheating physically and emotionally
• protect rest, calm, and digestion (Agni balance)

Summer is not only a season outside — it is a fire rising inside us.

How does your body respond when the heat increases around and within you?

And yes — ice cream is delicious 🍦
but from an Ayurvedic perspective, it dampens the digestive fire... so it is about awareness, not restriction.

Enjoy life. Stay connected to your inner fire.

🌙The 13 Original Clan Mothers – Jamie Sams

A spiritual and symbolic retelling of 13 ancestral feminine archetypes, each one carrying a teaching connected to nature, intuition, and the human experience.

This book is not just something I read — it is something I return to, month after month, like a cycle🌕

Each moon, I revisit the teachings of the 13 Clan Mothers, allowing their wisdom to land differently depending on where I am in life.

It feels like a living transmission — not linear reading, but cyclical remembering.

Each Grandmother carries a teaching: truth, patience, compassion, courage, listening, vision...

Over time, it becomes less about "reading a book" and more about entering a relationship with feminine ancestral wisdom.

A reminder that wisdom is not outside of us — it is cyclical, like the moon itself.

✨ What teaching do you feel closest to right now?

Celebrating Spring: Ostara, Easter & Renewal 🌸🐣 with a spring ritual

This season is full of symbolism, growth, and celebration:

Ostara (Spring Equinox): A festival of balance, fertility, and new beginnings 🌱
Easter: A time of renewal, hope, and joy 🐇🥚
Spring in general: A season of growth, blossoming, and fresh energy 🌷

🌼 Spring Windowsill Ritual

What you need:

A small candle
A small egg, eggshell, or a tiny pot with soil
Wildflower seeds
Optional: a small dish for the eggshell, a little water, or decorations
Steps:

Cleanse your space: Light your candle and take a few deep breaths, imagining the light clearing away old energy.
Set your intention: Hold the egg, eggshell, or pot, and think about what you want to “plant” this spring—new growth, creativity, joy, or personal renewal.
Prepare your seed container:
Eggshell: Carefully crack the top, rinse it, and fill it with soil.
Pot: Fill with soil.
Plant the seeds: Gently place a few wildflower seeds in the soil. Visualize your intention growing along with them.
Place on the windowsill: Let sunlight nourish both the seeds and your intentions.
Candle meditation: Sit with your candle for a few minutes, focusing on the flame and your intention. Silently say a word, phrase, or blessing for growth.
Daily care: Water lightly and watch your seeds grow, letting them remind you of your own spring renewal.

🌱 Reflection & Intention

Consider what you are ready to plant in your life this spring—habits, intentions, or dreams.
Take a few moments to visualize growth, balance, and harmony in your body, mind, and spirit.
Embrace the transformation and blossoming of your beautiful self.
Optional: Bring your egg, flower, or other seasonal item into nature and let it continue to grow.
💛 Question for Reflection: What intention or seed of growth will you plant this season to nurture yourself and your life?

A little well-being check-in for today ✨

Pause for a moment and ask yourself:

💧 Did I drink enough water today?
🌬 Did I take a few deep breaths?
🌿 Did I move my body in a way that feels good?
🤍 Did I allow myself a moment of calm?

Well-being is often made of small simple moments.

Which one did you already offer yourself today? 🌱

Remember You don't need a perfect routine just a little step each day to self.

"Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self."
— Bhagavad Gita

Not about becoming someone new,
but remembering who you are.

Spring is not asking permission to bloom... and neither should you.

After months of quiet, of rest, of unseen growth, life rises again — softly, steadily, beautifully.

Let this be your reminder: you don't need to rush your awakening. Trust your timing. Trust your unfolding. 🌸
