Upbeat Reggae & Pop Music
Ahnkl is the solo project of multi-faceted Austrian artist Werner Posekany who has been writing and performing music most of his life, most notably touring and performing extensively with experimental/fusion band The Uptown Monotones. On an extended stay in Jamaica he had the opportunity to work with some of his idols rekindling the passion for his first true love - reggae. After collaborating with Sly and Robbie, Eeka Mouse and a few others he returned to Austria so inspired that the songs simply poured out and he knew it was the perfect time for a solo project. Ahnkl’s solo project is comprised of upbeat reggae music that makes people feel good.

OUT NOW
After months of writing, producing and creating, I’m incredibly happy to finally share my new single and official music video with you.
AHNKL – Mirror On The Wall
This project became much more than just a song.
It’s about reflection.
About the memories that shape us.
About the questions we often avoid asking ourselves.
Who are we beneath the roles we play?
What remains when everything becomes quiet?
Together with my longtime friend and producer Alvis Reid, we created a sound that blends Soul, Pop and subtle Reggae influences with cinematic textures.
Alvis mixed and mastered the track, bringing decades of musical experience into a production that feels both intimate and timeless.
Alongside the music, I wanted to build a visual world that tells the same story.
The official music film combines carefully crafted cinematic scenes inspired by endless deserts, oceans, stars, mirrors and the search for ourselves. Rather than simply illustrating the lyrics, it invites you to experience them.
This release represents everything I love about creating art—where music, photography, film and visual storytelling become one.
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported this journey.
I truly hope Mirror On The Wall finds its way into your heart.
Watch the official video, listen to the song, and if it speaks to you, I’d love to hear what you see in your own reflection.
