The site provides all the information about our project to reduce the gender gap in financial education.
Our goal is to understand the current state of the gender gap in financial education in Europe, identify the training and information needs of disadvantaged women in financial/economics matters, increase awareness and sensitivity on financial/economics issues among our target audience, and train trainers on how to use virtual simulations for financial education targeting disadvantaged women.
Throughout the project, the website will be enriched with training content and research-related documentation. It will serve as the engagement platform for the target audience in the project's reference countries.

🔍 Activity 1 - Study on Gender Gaps in Financial Education in Europe: Let's start with a comprehensive investigation into gender gaps in financial education in Europe! 🌍 We're sharing research methodologies among our partners, conducting in-depth research, and compiling a comprehensive report. 📊 The report will include quantitative data, qualitative insights, and best practices—all of which will shape our questionnaire for Activity 2. 📑
💡 Activity 2 - Needs Analysis of Our Target Audience: Here, we're zeroing in on analyzing the needs of disadvantaged women at the heart of our project. 🎯 We're creating and administering tailored questionnaires, monitoring responses, crunching the data, and producing a detailed report. 📈 This report will be instrumental in customizing our training course to align with the diverse skill sets of target groups in various countries. 🌟
📹 Activity 3 - Basic Financial Education Course through Video Tutorials: Next, we're diving into creating video tutorials for our basic financial education course. 📽️ We identify course content during brainstorming sessions, craft video tutorials, deliver them, and gather participant feedback. 📚 The result will be a short and accessible course featuring video tutorials complemented by infographics and images, available online. 🌐
📚 Activity 4 - Handbook for Trainers on Instructional Design: We're developing a handbook for trainers on instructional design to create virtual simulations for financial education. 🎓 This involves designing virtual scenarios, crafting storyboards using the Agile methodology, and producing the handbook. 📘 We aim to equip instructors with the tools to create tailored virtual learning experiences for disadvantaged women. 🙌

Closing the gender gap in financial education for disadvantaged women in family and workplace contexts.
🎯 General Project Goals:
1️⃣ Understand the gender gap in European financial education, focusing on major Member States and project partner countries.
2️⃣ Identify the training and information needs of women from disadvantaged groups in financial education.
3️⃣ Raise awareness and develop fundamental and cross-cutting skills among our target audience so they can address daily financial challenges and make independent decisions.

GENDER BALANCE IN FINANCIAL EDUCATION

🌟 GBFE is dedicated to empowering special groups of women to foster inclusion and skill development:
1️⃣ Women employed in sectors where gender inequality is evident, who have experienced a gap in regular employment for at least six months, regardless of age. 💼
2️⃣ Women grappling with addiction challenges, including substance abuse (drugs, alcohol, gambling, etc.). 🚭
3️⃣ Women who may feel excluded, such as immigrants not yet integrated into their communities or single mothers. 🌍
4️⃣ Women with limited education and those in precarious work situations. 📚
Our mission is to equip them with the tools they need to achieve financial independence and overcome personal challenges. Whether they face complex situations or are young women seeking to chart their path away from their families, we support them. 👩‍👧‍👦
Our goal is to engage with 40 disadvantaged women from each participating country (Austria, Bulgaria, Italy, Spain) through questionnaire responses, while at least 50 women will benefit from our virtual basic financial education course. 💪📊
