Ritual of Resistance is another workshop format I’ve been sharing around Vienna.

We always begin by meeting each other.

Before creating anything, we take a moment to talk, to get to know the group, and to think about the way we treat the places we live in.

Then we simply go for a walk.

It doesn’t take long before we start noticing all the things we usually ignore: discarded objects, forgotten materials, pieces of plastic, but also leaves, branches, seeds, stones.

Our Wonder Box slowly fills with these small finds.

What strikes me every time is that, in the end, we naturally reach for the elements that come from nature. Even though we keep damaging it, it is still where we instinctively return.

Back together, everyone shares what they found, and those fragments become the starting point for a personal amulet of resistance.

I call them amulets because they are not meant to solve anything. They are reminders. Small objects that hold a memory, a promise, a question.

Maybe resistance doesn’t always look like a revolution.

Maybe it begins with paying attention.
With picking something up from the ground.
With caring.
With imagining a different relationship with the world around us.

✨ Every workshop reminds me that art doesn’t have to give answers. Sometimes it just creates the space where different questions can emerge together.

When I created the concept of the “Wonder Dolls Lab” I wanted to give adults the opportunity to dig deep and reconnect with an authentic part of themselves that they may have forgotten as they grew up.

I wanted to offer everyone the chance to recognize themselves as world-builders.

Magic is something we often drift away from as we become adults, yet it remains an essential part of who we are. It lives within each of us, waiting to be rediscovered ✨🪄

Before creativity takes form, there’s always a quiet phase in my practice, a moment to explore, dig deeper, and gently reconnect with the most authentic parts of ourselves.
That’s what I wanted to share today, the moments where you held space for each other and opened up.

During the last Wonder Dolls Lab, the Dolls Clinic was used so much. Seeing you return to it again and again, helping your dolls, and somehow yourselves too, felt really powerful.
So happy that through play, you rediscovered the superpower of animism!

I’m always fascinated by the energy of these workshops, the way the room falls into a deep collective silence while everyone is immersed in their own inner world, and then slowly opens back up into laughter, stories, and shared creations.
