The 🇦🇹 Austrian youth delegation visited 🇨🇳 Ningbo from August 16 to 17.

A youth science‑and‑technology exchange programme was held between Ningbo and its sister city Wiener Neustadt, Austria.

The delegation explored the riverside scenery of Sanjiangkou, and experienced Chinese intangible cultural heritage, traditional opera and pottery craftsmanship. Young participants from China and Austria teamed up for an exciting drone innovation competition.

Wiener Neustadt Gymnasium and Ningbo Foreign Affairs School officially forged a friendship partnership, witnessed by all attendees. This marks a new, diverse and in‑depth chapter for youth‑focused cultural and educational exchanges between the two cities.

Special thanks also go to the President of the Austrian‑Chinese Musicians Association BabyQin for joining this meaningful event.

Today, our dear President Daniel Serafin visited the Stadttheater Wiener Neustadt together with Austrian State Secretary Elisabeth Zehetner, where they held discussions with the theatre representatives.

Incredibly, this building boasts a nearly 900‑year‑long history. Originally a monastery and church, it began operating as a theatre at the end of the 18th century. For centuries, it has remained a vital cornerstone of Wiener Neustadt’s cultural life.

It is inspiring to see such a time‑honoured venue continue to thrive, bridging history and modern‑day artistic practice.🪄
