🎶 With two concert evenings under the baton of Matthias Pintscher we honored György Kurtág and his oeuvre at the Kollegienkirche in Salzburg. First, we highlighted Kurtág’s appreciation of the work of Samuel Beckett together with Cantando Admont and Dalia Schaechter on 30 July, before presenting a programme including works by Gérard Grisey and Luigi Nono on 1 August, together with Anna Prohaska, Noa Frenkel and again Cantando Admont.

🎶 Our first concert at this year’s Salzburg Festival was just wonderful! On Friday, 24 July, we presented the 𝘖𝘶𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘦 at the Kollegienkirche together with Cantando Admont and violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja. The programme of the sold-out evening included works by Tigran Mansurian, William Byrd, Luboš Fišer, Josquin Desprez, and Galina Ustwolskaja, and was highly acclaimed by the audience.

🤩 With great pleasure we are looking forward to our concerts at this year’s Salzburg Festival!

Together with Cantando Admont and violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja we will kick off with the 𝘖𝘶𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘚𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘦, featuring works of early and contemporary music by Tigran Mansurian, William Byrd, Luboš Fišer, Josquin Desprez und Galina Ustwolskaja.

In addition, we will honor the 100th of György Kurtág: In a first concert entitled 𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘚𝘢𝘮𝘶𝘦𝘭 𝘉𝘦𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘵𝘵, we will illustrate Kurtág's fascination with the oeuvre of Samuel Beckett. In a second concert featuring Anna Prohaska, Luigi Nono’s 𝘖𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘨𝘪𝘰 𝘢 𝘎𝘺𝘰̈𝘳𝘨𝘺 𝘒𝘶𝘳𝘵𝘢́𝘨 will be contrasted with Gérard Grisey’s 𝘚𝘵𝘦̀𝘭𝘦, conducted by Matthias Pintscher.

Emilio Pomàrico will lead our last concert in Salzburg, presenting Francesca Verunelli’s 𝘓𝘢 𝘯𝘶𝘥𝘢 𝘷𝘰𝘤𝘦, as well as two works by Gérard Grisey.

🎶 Following the previous editions in 2024 and 2025, we had again the honor to perform two concerts at ORF RadioKulturhaus as part of the Wiener Festwochen’s initiative 𝘈𝘤𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘺 𝘚𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘮. The programme lead by Susanne Blumenthal featured works by Nyokabi Kariũki, Tania León, Elaine Mitchener, Bára Gísladóttir, Ailís Ní Ríain, Imsu Choi, Sofia Jernberg, Anna Korsun, Keiko Abe, Katarina Gryvul and Nicole Lizée, and once again showcased how important it is to aim for a gender-sensitive music culture and to increase the proportion of works written by womxn composers.

🎶 This weekend, we are presenting the third edition of “Academy Second Modernism” at ORF RadioKulturhaus. As part of the Wiener Festwochen, the concerts on Saturday and Sunday feature impressive compositions by international womxn composers and contribute to the aim of establishing a gender-sensitive music culture.
