Last January as part of the FWF Peek Arts Based Research project UNKNOWN BEYOND ABYSS: Toward Vocabularies of/for/at the Limit I currently working on Strange Research Volume I culminated in the creation of an image that remained until the final moment “yet unknown”. A daguerreotype image was composed through accumulation of the physical, philosophical, sonic, and temporal state of the event. “Shadows of the Still People” emerged in real time and was developed on site and is now the lasting impression that marks a pathway into our ongoing work to create a „strange research“ beyond language.
