The dialogue brings together perspectives on green and digital skills, professional mobility, private-sector engagement and opportunities for young professionals in Egypt.

5️⃣8️⃣ young Egyptians begin the first NET-Work You pre-departure training round in Egypt.

📅 Today, 9 September 2026, Heliopolis University welcomed 58 selected young Egyptians for the first NET-Work You pre-departure training round in Egypt.

📌 Following the completion of the participant selection process, NET-Work You is now moving into the training phase, translating the skills needs and professional profiles identified through the project’s earlier work into targeted skills development for young Egyptian participants.

🎙️ The Orientation Day opened with welcome and opening remarks from CIHEAMBari, Confcooperative Puglia, and the University's academic and research leadership:

🧩 The training is going to combines technical, digital, language and soft skills relevant to the green economy and to the professional profiles developed through NET-Work You.

🎯 By linking skills development with identified labour-market needs, the programme aims to strengthen participants’ employability and prepare them for an international professional environment.

➡️ Following the training and final assessment, selected participants will proceed to the next stage of the pathway: a three-month professional traineeship (internship) in Apulia, Italy, where they will gain practical experience in a professional setting.

🌍 This structured pathway connects skills needs, targeted training, assessment and professional experience, putting skills-based circular mobility between Egypt and Italy into practice.

✅ The Selection of Participants to pre-departure training in Egypt - Round 1!

📅 This week, at the GrEEK Campus in Cairo, the NET-Work You project is finalising the selection of candidates who will participate in the pre-departure training programme in Egypt 🇪🇬.
More than 100 pre-selected young Egyptian candidates met with panels of international experts in a structured and transparent process, leading to the final selection of 75 participants.

📌 The selected participants will join an intensive training pathway aimed at strengthening skills for the green and digital economy, opening new opportunities for professional development and international mobility.

📢 An open tender has been launched under the NET-Work You initiative for the design and implementation of two rounds of pre-departure training in Egypt, supporting young Egyptian participants selected for mobility pathways to Italy in the green economy sector.
