Rain Rolling In

„Rain Rolling In“ is a Viennese based international combo passionately dedicated to reviving Western Swing, the music style emerging in the 40’s of the twentieth century as jazz was still the best dance music in the world. Rain Rolling In was founded in post corona Vienna by three musicians who already had a history of playing together in various bands. Irene, Vanja and Michael put their heads and hands together around the idea of making a kind of good time music combining jazzy melodies, pointed guitar licks and fiery fiddle fills both riding on the firm fundament of a pumping upright bass. The aim is to make music, deeply grounded both in two-step country and jazz standards, at the same time rootsy but also new, catchy and sophisticated. The setlist of Rain Rolling In offers covers of some carefully chosen gems from the past, but also original songs written by the band.
