Thank you to the lovely for kindly filming this moment!

My beautiful Anita Myrthes Monteiro bringing the most thoughtful after-performance care package 🥹❣️ Putting Maria together in just 10 days of rehearsals was thrilling, but nothing if not strenuous.

My greatest support, .flaskamp came and cooked every meal for me, held me through post-rehearsal crashes, and kissed every bruise left from this wonderfully intense process. No one was more proud or excited than he was, and I couldn’t ask for a more wonderful future husband ❤️

A little pre-performance activity to slow the adrenaline…..

I have endless gratitude to all my friends who came from all over - some as far as London!! - to be here for this unforgettable night. I love and appreciate all of you from every nook and cranny in my heart.

Many thanks to Corinne Reid for this stunning shot!

if you know me, you know I love my pink hot rollers. Exciting things coming soon ❣️

Have you heard?? Maria and Musetta take over the months of September and October! Dates below ❣️ Volksoper Wien

Truly incredible casts in both shows. I feel grateful everyday.

West Side Story dates:
Sept. 5, 13, 19, 30; Oct. 16

La bohème dates:
Sept 27; Oct. 3, 14

West Side Story thoughts…musical theater and stage actors are really amazing. It’s half an hour before rehearsal for Maria’s final monologue, and I’m realizing just how much vulnerability this role requires. It’s exhausting and thrilling to experience this level of involvement with a character.

In opera, a certain level of composure and dissociation is demanded in order to make beautiful music in a healthy and sustainable way…but here, the music stops, there is nowhere to hide, and that’s where the power of the story lies. Just so grateful to get to experience this in addition to the amazing music of Bernstein.

Anyway, we open on September 5th Volksoper Wien✌️🫶 Would love to see you at 1 of the 5 shows 💓

Rachmaninoff, the Schumanns, Strauss, Brahms, Schubert, Viardot, Respighi, oh my! 10 beautiful days singing songs in Moritzburg before heading back to Vienna ❣️

A privilege to be backstage in heatless curlers at the Berlin Konzerthaus 💓 Special thanks to the fantastic members of the orchestra, Maestro Steven Sloane, and particularly for bringing me here.

UM DEN VERSTAND GELIEBT. (title courtesy of .lenhard) What a dream program, and a rare one to be able to put onstage.
