🏉🌊 **EBRA GENERAL ASSEMBLY IN VIENNA: SOPOT TO HOST THE 2027 EUROPEAN BEACH RUGBY CUP FINAL** 🇪🇺🇵🇱

A new chapter begins for **EBRA – European Beach Rugby Association**.

The EBRA General Assembly took place in **Vienna, Austria**, bringing together representatives of the organisations, clubs and tournaments that are part of the European Beach Rugby community.

The meeting represented an important opportunity to look ahead, discuss the development of the discipline across Europe and define the key steps for the **2027 season**.

🇵🇱 **SOPOT SELECTED FOR THE 2027 EUROPEAN BEACH RUGBY CUP FINAL**

One of the main decisions of the Assembly was the selection of **Sopot, Poland, as the host city for the 2027 European Beach Rugby Cup Final**.

The event will take place on **10–11 July 2027**, bringing together the best teams competing for the European title.

Sopot is already an established destination on the EBRA circuit and its selection confirms the important role played by Poland in the development and international promotion of Beach Rugby.

The city will therefore become the centre of European Beach Rugby in July 2027, when the new champions of the **European Beach Rugby Cup** will be crowned. 🏆

🌍 **THE 2027 EBRA SERIES IS READY**

The General Assembly also confirmed the calendar for the **2027 EBRA Series**, a circuit designed to connect some of Europe’s most important Beach Rugby destinations.

The new season will begin in:

🇫🇷 **MARSEILLE – 5/6 JUNE**
The traditional French opening appointment will officially launch the 2027 EBRA Series.

🇮🇹 **LIGNANO SABBIADORO – 12/13 JUNE**
The circuit will then move to Italy, with Lignano once again becoming one of the key European Beach Rugby destinations.

🇵🇹 **PORTO – 19/20 JUNE**
Portugal will host the next stage, continuing the international journey of the Series.

🌍 **VIENNA & ALICANTE – 3/4 JULY**
A special weekend featuring two simultaneous international appointments: **Vienna in Austria** and **Alicante in Spain**.

🇵🇱 **SOPOT – 10/11 JULY**
The season will reach its climax in Poland with the **2027 European Beach Rugby Cup Final**.

Ceci afin d'échanger sur le retour à faire de la saison lors de l'assemblée générale de l'EBRA qui se déroulera ce week-end à Vienne en Autriche 🇦🇹

The EBRA (European Beach Rugby Association) 🇪🇺 🏉 refereeing community met via video conference last night, convened by Lionel "Leo" DaSilva, the association's sports sector representative.
The meeting aimed to discuss the review of the season to be presented at the EBRA General Assembly, taking place this weekend in Vienna, Austria 🇦🇹.

This weekend, the Rugby Europe 🏉🇪🇺 Beach Rugby (tackle) Championship is taking place in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova.
Lionel Da Silva, our Competitions Manager, has been officially appointed by President Giancarlo Stocco as the official representative of the European Beach Rugby Association (EBRA) 🏉🇪🇺.

Our collaboration and discussions with Rugby Europe are ongoing, aiming to develop and promote Beach Rugby Five (tackle) across Europe and beyond.
It is worth noting that, in addition to this role representing the EBRA, Lionel will also serve as an official referee for the tournament.

Ce week-end se déroule le Championnat de Beach Rugby à plaquer sur le sable organisé par la fédération européenne RUGBY EUROPE 🏉🇪🇺 à CHISINAU capitale Moldave.
Lionel Da Silva notre responsable des compétitions a été officialisé par le Président Giancarlo Stocco comme le représentant officiel de l'European Beach Rugby 🏉 Association - EBRA 🇪🇺.

Notre rapprochement et nos discussions avec Rugby Europe se poursuivent pour faire évoluer ainsi que promouvoir le Beach Rugby Five à plaquer sur le sable, à l'intérieur du territoire européen, voire au-delà.
Il faut souligner qu'au delà de cette nomination pour représenter l'EBRA, Lionel sera également arbitre officiel du tournoi.
