The Acropolis has entered a new chapter in its long history, with the restoration of the western pediment of the Parthenon now complete and the removal of external scaffolding revealing the monument in a form not seen for more than two centuries. 🏛️

The milestone marks a significant achievement in the ongoing conservation and restoration programme at Greece’s most iconic archaeological site. For the first time in approximately 220 years, visitors can view the western façade of the Parthenon in its most complete state, following the placement of two restored uprights in previously empty positions and the completion of restoration work on the pediment’s supporting structure.
