Irish broadcaster RTÉ 🇮🇪 has confirmed it will neither participate in nor air the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest 🎶, marking its second consecutive year boycotting the event. 📺

Broadcasters cited the ongoing humanitarian crisis and loss of life in Gaza, as well as restrictions on international journalists, as the key reasons for staying away. 🕊️📰

While EBU organizers expressed regret over the absence of the seven-time champion, they stated that they fully respect RTÉ's position. The upcoming competition is set to take place in Burgas, Bulgaria, following DARA’s historic 2026 victory. 🇧🇬
