A driving force behind her club, Nina is always willing to step up wherever she is needed. From a club perspective, coaches make all the difference and we couldn’t close out the season without giving a huge shout-out to our Coach DJ!

This season, Coach DJ took on the task (some might say challenge) of developing our inaugural U13 Girls team, the first junior girls’ team at Acacia Ridge in a long time!

This was a brand new group made up of girls from different clubs and backgrounds. Many had never played together before, and some stepped up to play above their usual age group.

Under DJ’s leadership, they became so much more than a new team. He created a supportive environment with strong expectations, great behaviour and an incredible sense of belonging. The way the girls bonded, encouraged one another and represented Acacia Ridge Football Club throughout the season reflected everything we want to promote across our club.

Reaching the semifinals in their very first season was an outstanding achievement. We are incredibly proud of the girls for their hard work, commitment and the way they came together as a team.

Thank you, Coach DJ, for the time, patience, care and commitment you have given to the girls and our club. You have helped create a strong foundation for women and girls’ football at Acacia Ridge, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you have contributed.

U14 Div 3 Boys are ON! Saturday 12th September 6:30PM at Logan Village Falcons FC

U13 Lynx Locked and Loaded! Sunday 13th of September 9am at Wynnum Wolves FC!

The Boys have done it! An amazing effort today finishing in a 1-0 win means they finish 4th place and move to Semi Finals! Well done boys! Looking forward to cheering you on! 💙⚽
