For so many clients, from the moment they begin a build or renovation, they’re dreaming of the day it’s finished and their new home becomes a reality. But I also want them to enjoy the process of getting there, as each decision is made and the home slowly starts to take shape.

There’s something so satisfying about looking back at those first sketches and seeing how closely the early ideas have been brought to life. From paper to completion, it’s a process I never tire of seeing unfold.

The Lockleys kitchen opens through to the pantry beyond, with each space feeling connected but having its own identity. There’s a lot happening here functionally, but visually it still feels calm and considered.

The Toorak Gardens bathroom was designed to feel a little cocooned from the rest of the home. We wrapped the space in this beautiful stone, allowing all of its natural variation to become the feature rather than adding too much else.

A bathroom that feels calm, but still has plenty of personality.

For Toorak Gardens, the kitchen began with a balance of darker timber, beautiful natural stone and lighter detailing to soften the overall palette. From the first sketch and material selections through to the final space, each decision built on that original direction.

There’s something very satisfying about seeing what was once on paper become a home you can walk through.

Warmth of natural timber against the soft stone and white joinery, with just enough contrast in the lighting and smaller details to give the space its own personality.

The Toorak Gardens pantry has a mood all of its own. Dark timber and herringbone tiles create a richer, more intimate space, while that beautiful wall light casts the most incredible pattern across the joinery.

I love when the practical rooms of a home have a little glimmer of fun and character.

A first look at Hyde Park, a heritage home reworked.

Texture is one of the things I’m always thinking about when designing a space. It’s not just about how materials look individually, but how they sit together and what happens when you layer stone, timber, metal and softer finishes.

For me, that’s where a home starts to gain depth and character. You don’t just see it, you feel it.

Tucked just beyond the main space, we carried through the light timber and natural stone, layering in soft handmade tiles and a baby blue accent.

The pantry is a hardworking part of the home, but one that deserved just as much thought as the spaces around it.

Just 10 minutes from the C*D, Prospect is booming more than ever. A new wave of hospitality, retail and residents is bringing fresh energy to the neighbourhood, while its leafy streets and beautiful heritage homes retain the character it has long been known for.

Tucked within those streets, our Prospect project will be a grand three-storey home, bringing together the heritage character and sense of grandeur I’ve always admired about the area with a fresh, contemporary approach.
