📢 NDIS CHANGES — WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The NDIS is changing, but you don’t need to navigate it alone. 💜

Changes are being introduced gradually across 2026, 2027 and 2028.

From 1 October 2026, some supports may be affected when plans are reassessed or renewed — but this does not mean everyone will lose funding.

At Turning Point Support, we’re here to help you understand what the changes mean for your individual plan, prepare for reviews and reassessments, and work through your options.

This post provides a general overview only. NDIS changes can depend on your individual circumstances and plan. If you're unsure how a change may affect you, speak with your Support Coordinator or the NDIS.

🌿 Wellness Wednesday | Rest before you’re exhausted 💜

When you live with disability, pushing through isn’t always the best option.

You don’t have to wait until you’re completely exhausted before giving yourself permission to rest. Taking breaks, pacing yourself and listening to your body can be an important part of looking after your wellbeing. ✨

Rest might mean a quiet afternoon, taking a break between activities, saying no to something, or simply giving yourself permission to slow down.

Rest isn’t giving up — it’s taking care of yourself. 💕

🌿 Wellness Wednesday | Celebrate what your body CAN do 💜

It’s easy to focus on what we can’t do, especially when our abilities, energy or capacity change from day to day.

Today, we’re celebrating the things your body can do — whether that’s getting out of bed, making a cup of tea, attending an appointment, creating something, connecting with others, or simply getting through a challenging day. ✨

Your worth isn’t measured by productivity, physical ability or how much you accomplish.

Every effort counts. Every achievement matters. And you are enough. 💕

Behind the scenes at Turning Point Support✨

Although our team works remotely across South Australia, we always make time to come together regularly. 🤍

Our team meetings give us a chance to connect, share ideas, stay up to date with NDIS changes and chat about exciting new opportunities — including our recent partnership with Trilogy Care for aged care coordination. 🌿

We may not share an office every day, but connection, collaboration and teamwork are always at the heart of what we do. ❤️

🌿 Wellness Wednesday | It’s okay to change your plans 💜

Some days, your energy, needs or circumstances might be different from what you expected — and that’s okay.

Changing your plans, taking a break or doing things differently isn’t a setback. It’s listening to yourself and giving yourself the support you need. 💕

There’s no one right way to get through the day. Be kind to yourself and work with what you have today. 🌸

Meet Minh 👋

A night owl who definitely prefers a cosy winter day over the summer heat ❄️ (and would choose snow over sand any day!)

What motivates Minh? Knowing she can make a difference in someone’s life 💛 She’s passionate about supporting and advocating for people who may struggle to speak up or navigate things on their own, helping them feel heard, supported and empowered.

She’s a wonderful addition to our team! 🌟

Minh currently has capacity for new participants in Adelaide 🙌

💛 R U OK? Day | 10 September

Today is a reminder that a simple “Are you OK?” can open the door to an important conversation.

Take a moment to check in with the people around you — your friends, family, colleagues, or someone you haven’t heard from in a while. And remember, you don’t need to have all the answers. Sometimes, simply listening and letting someone know you’re there can make a real difference.

At Turning Point Support, we believe connection, compassion and genuine support matter every day. 💛

Ask. Listen. Encourage. Connect.

🌿 Wellness Wednesday | Digital Detox 📱✨

Sometimes, the best thing we can do for our wellbeing is simply switch off.

Taking a break from notifications, social media and screen time can give your mind some space to slow down and help you reconnect with the people and things that matter most. 💜

You could try:
📵 Putting your phone away for an hour
🌿 Spending some time outdoors
☕ Enjoying a cuppa without scrolling
💬 Having a face-to-face conversation
📖 Picking up a book or enjoying a hobby

You don’t have to disconnect completely — even a little less screen time can make a difference. 💕
