Elizabeth Rise Community Centre

The IGA next to us accepts used batteries

🔋 Batteries don’t belong in your kerbside bins.

Batteries and e-waste can catch fire when crushed inside a waste collection truck, creating a serious risk for our drivers and the community.

Before using your red, yellow or green bin, check for batteries in items like phones, laptops, toys, cameras, small appliances and rechargeable devices.

Keep batteries and e-waste out of all kerbside bins and take them to a suitable recycling collection point instead.
