To our beautiful clients, friends, and supporters,

For the past six years, Vintage Scarecrow has been so much more than a tattoo studio. Within these walls we’ve shared stories, laughter, tears, milestones, heartbreaks, dreams, and art. We’ve met strangers who became friends, celebrated life’s highs, supported each other through its lows, and watched countless people grow into more confident versions of themselves.

What began as four walls quickly became a haven for creativity, connection, and self-expression. We built this business from love, hard work, and every dollar we could save, hoping to create a welcoming space for artists to flourish and clients to feel at home.

Today, we’re sharing some difficult news.

Like many small businesses, we’ve felt the impact of the current cost-of-living crisis. Rising rent, increasing operating costs, and a significant slowdown in the tattoo industry have made it increasingly difficult for us to continue our art. Since welcoming our daughter into the world, we’ve also had to take a hard look at what is sustainable for our family moving forward.

With heavy hearts, we have made the decision to begin exploring options to close Vintage Scarecrow and transition out of the premises.

At this stage, we don’t have a confirmed closing date and we will continue tattooing throughout this process. However, we are actively seeking a lease takeover for our beautiful studio space at 890 Port Road, Woodville South.

The premises would be perfectly suited to a tattoo studio, beauty salon, hair salon, barber shop, skin clinic, or other creative business looking for a highly visible main-road location.
