I am thankful for,
Paw prints on my floor, 🐾
Slobbery kisses on my face,
Nose prints on my window,
Dog hair on my clothes,
No room in my bed,
For there will come a day when these things will be missed! 🐶 ♥ - Unknown

First impressions are important, therefore it is essential to create a positive experience for your pet.
Have your first meeting in a neutral area. Do not force your dog to interact and always allow your dog to walk away. Pay attention to both dogs body language. Being able to predict if anything negative is about to happen is important to keep the greeting positive. (Post a comment if you would like to know more about negative body language). Also avoid giving treats and toys at the first greeting to ensure they do not feel the need to compete for resources.

With restrictions lifting in South Australia, everyone will be heading back to work, leaving your beautiful dogs home. You may experience chewing and/or digging if your dog is home bored. Consistent walking or brain stimulation will help. If you need help with this, have no fear Paws Page is here. Contact via email or phone to set up a complimentary meet and greet.
Hope you are all safe and well during these hard times.

There are 7 distinct types of breeds according to The Kennel Club of Great Britain. They are: Gundog, Hound, Pastoral, Terrier, Toy, Utility and Working.

Each type has a specific bred trait. To understand your dog it is important to know what classification your dog is under. This will help you understand the behavior of your dog and how to treat unwanted behaviours. 🐶 🐾
