Helping South Australia’s most vulnerable women overcome multiple barriers so they can achieve economic & social inclusion

18/09/2026

Today, we celebrate Round 16 of the Inclusive Work Program — the women who made the decision to step into something different, despite everything life has thrown their way.
Delivered as an accredited Adult Education program supported by Skills SA, IWP is about more than training. It’s a space for rebuilding confidence, identity, connection and possibility.
A place to find your voice. A place to feel safe. A place to belong. And sometimes, a place that starts to feel a little like family.
Over nine weeks, we’ve watched these women shift.
From self-doubt to self-belief. From surviving to planning. From isolation to connection. From simply getting through each day to imagining what could come next.
Our graduation… it’s never just a certificate.
It’s women standing taller than they did nine weeks ago. It’s stories being shared that once felt too heavy to speak. It’s friendships and connections that didn’t exist nine weeks ago. It’s finding a safe place to be seen, heard and supported. And it’s the belief, sometimes for the first time in a long time, that a different future is actually possible.
And the support is real.
The GOGO board, mentors, facilitators, partners and community around these women have become their cheerleaders. And on graduation day, they all came to see them graduate.
Because their investment isn’t about what these women can give back. It’s about seeing them achieve, seeing them be safe, and seeing them thrive. ❤️
This is life-changing work. Not because we say it is, but because you can see it, feel it and hear it in every woman who walks across that stage & into their next chapter.

To the graduates of Round 16, your courage doesn’t go unnoticed.
You have shown up.
You have challenged yourselves. You have backed yourselves.
And today, you get to celebrate just how far you’ve come.
We are incredibly proud of you.
And to everyone who walks beside them
this is what impact looks like.

Let’s start at the end…..
The music softens. The room becomes still. Peace settles across the faces.
There were tears, challenges, surrender, calm and moments of awakening. All part of each woman’s own journey through breathwork, beautifully held by Dr Tiff and met with the tenderness of the sitters.
A beautiful way to close our day together.
An unforgettable experience for all. 🤍

A huge thank you to Clubs SA and the Independent Gaming Corporation (IGC) for their generous funding support.
Thanks to a successful grant the Inclusive Work Program has been able to purchase brand new fitness equipment, and we put it to use for the very first time in the program during Fit for Work!

Our Fit for Work sessions are about more than exercise. They give women the opportunity to reconnect with their bodies, build physical strength and confidence, have fun and understand the importance of being physically as well as mentally prepared for work and life.

Having access to new equipment means we can continue to create engaging and inclusive sessions for women of all fitness levels and abilities.

We are incredibly grateful to Clubs SA and IGC for investing in our program and helping us provide more opportunities for the women we support.

Thank you for believing in the power of community and supporting women to grow stronger — in every sense of the word. 💜

Today we welcomed Kate from dressforsuccess
to the Inclusive Work Program for a fantastic First Impressions Workshop.
The session explored everything from presentation and first impressions to interview techniques and preparation helping our women feel confident, prepared and ready to shine when employment opportunities come their way.
Dress for Success Adelaide is a valued partner, supporting our women as they prepare to return to work and step into interviews with confidence and poise.
But it’s about so much more than clothes. It’s about confidence, self-worth and the power of seeing yourself differently, strong, capable and ready for what’s next.
For many of our women, looking good can help them feel good, but more importantly, believe they belong in the room.
A huge thank you to Kate and Dress for Success Adelaide for your generosity and ongoing commitment to supporting the women of the Inclusive Work Program on their journey towards employment, independence and opportunity. 💜

Our partnership with beyondbankBeyond continues to create incredible opportunities for GOGO women . 💙

On Wednesday, Georgie generously volunteered her time and specialist IT skills to guide our 16th cohort through the digital skills and technology they need to feel more confident when applying and interviewing for work.
Then today the 16th cohort of our women stepped in Beyond Bank, where they had the opportunity to learn more about the interview process, meet the People and Culture team, build their interview skills, strengthen their resumes and step outside their comfort zones into new possibilities.
And we never tire of seeing IWP graduates Crystal and Mariah thriving — both in their roles at Beyond Bank and in life. Introducing them to our current participants is always such a proud moment.

Their ongoing connection to the IWP and willingness to give back is a true testament to the power of our community. They are a living reminder to the women sitting where they once did that change really is possible. ❤️

We’re incredibly grateful to Beyond Bank for a partnership that goes beyond employment, creating confidence, connection and genuine pathways to possibility.

A huge thank you to the Westpac Foundation for gifting the Inclusive Work Program much needed laptops.
This incredible gift means every woman in our program now has the opportunity to learn, practise and build confidence using technology.
Today, during our first ever IT session, we saw the impact of this support come to life as the women got hands-on with their new laptops and started building valuable digital skills.
This is more than just laptops , it’s access, opportunity and confidence. 💙
Thank you, wespacfoundation workventuresaus, for your ongoing support!

Such an eye-opening and powerful session delivered today as part of the Inclusive Work Program, with Emma from the Working Women's Centre SA Inc
Emma delivered an insightful session on keeping ourselves safe in the workplace, exploring what sexual harassment and workplace bullying look like, where they come from, and—most importantly—how understanding their roots can help us prevent and address them.

We learnt about legal obligations, personal rights, workplace responsibilities, and the very real impact that harassment, bullying and gender inequality continue to have across Australian workplaces and society.

The statistics are alarming, and the reality is clear: gender inequality persists, and the impact is real.

Sessions like this are so important in creating meaningful change in workplaces. When employees understand their rights, recognise what is and isn’t acceptable, and feel empowered to speak up, we are better equipped to create workplaces where respect, safety and equality are genuinely embedded in the culture, not simply written in a policy.

It is more than time for Respect at Work and for every employer to understand and uphold their positive duty to eliminate sexual harassment and discrimination in the workplace.

A huge thank you to Emma for such a powerful, thought-provoking and empowering session. 💜

Every workplace should be a place where people feel safe, respected, valued and heard. Education, awareness and understanding are an important part of making that change happen.

It’s been a busy few weeks in the Inclusive Work Program, filled with learning, growth, challenge and plenty of fun!
A huge thank you to Leigh Wilson for tackling the sometimes-tricky topics of giving and receiving feedback and conflict resolution. Insightful, practical and powerful learning for everyone.
Our Wellbeing sessions with drtiff.wellbeing continue to challenge, provoke and empower — and each week, we sing a little louder and prouder. ✨
Thank you to Toni Rowland from building_women_sa for opening our eyes to exciting pathways and opportunities for women in construction. 🔨
And to the fabulous Andrea Sumner, who made the important topics of workplace rights and responsibilities, policies and WHS engaging, accessible and even fun!
We are incredibly fortunate to have such knowledgeable and generous guest speakers sharing their expertise with our women.
Because learning isn’t just about gaining knowledge — it’s about discovering what you’re capable of. 💫

To end our week, the IWP women stepped out of the classroom and into Foodbank SA & Central Australia, volunteering their time to wrap, pack, move stock and help wherever they could.
Some of our women have needed, and may continue to need Foodbank’s services themselves. So it was an especially empowering way to end the week: giving back to our community and to a service that is increasingly relied upon by every day South Australians.
A huge thank you to Jen for making our visit possible and the Foodbank marketing team for taking time out of their busy day to guide us and educate us about the vital services Foodbank provides and the increasing demand as the cost of living continues to hit hard.
It was a timely reminder that giving back matters.
We left with tired hands but full hearts, knowing that even the smallest effort can make a difference. 💜

“Service to others is the rent you pay for your room on earth.” 💜
