Project Nexus

Last weekend, leaders from across Australia gathered on the Sunshine Coast for the 2026 Project Nexus Retreat.

Alongside our wider Collective, we also welcomed Incubate Cohort #6 for their first time gathering together in person. After journeying together online throughout the year, it was a joy to finally share meals, conversations, worship, prayer, and plenty of laughter face to face.

It wasn't a conference built around bigger ideas or better strategies. It was a weekend of paying attention.

Together we listened, reflected, wandered, created, worshipped, laughed around tables, prayed for one another, and shared stories of what God is stirring in communities all around the country.

One of the greatest gifts of Project Nexus is discovering that you're not alone. Across Australia, God is compelling ordinary people to faithfully lead new things in neighbourhoods, churches, schools, workplaces, creative spaces, and communities. This retreat was a reminder that while every story is different, we are part of something much bigger than ourselves.

To everyone who travelled, hosted, served, encouraged, cooked, prayed, and participated—thank you. You helped create space for people to notice what God is doing and take another faithful step forward.

We're leaving grateful, encouraged, and expectant for what comes next.

Incubate 2026 applications are open.

Each year, we gather leaders who sense they are being drawn to lead something new or to lead in new ways.

Not always with clear answers.
But with a growing awareness that the old ways may not be enough for what’s ahead.

Incubate creates space to slow down, listen deeply, and discern what God might be inviting you into.

It’s not about building platforms or chasing outcomes.
It’s about formation, becoming the kind of leader who can faithfully step into what is emerging.

If you’re sensing that pull toward something new, but aren’t quite sure what it looks like yet, this journey might be for you.

Applications are now open.

Incubate 2026 | Applications Now Open

Some leaders are compelled by the Spirit to lead what has not yet taken shape, responding to what God is doing before it is fully clear.

A stirring they can’t ignore.
A responsibility they didn’t ask for.
A Kingdom discontent - a holy restlessness with the way things are, and a longing for what could be.

Incubate is a six-month leadership formation journey with Project Nexus for those who feel called to lead into the new - faithfully, wisely, and with humility, attentive to God’s work in and through them.

Incubate creates space to:
• listen deeply to what God may be forming
• discern what God is inviting, not just what we think is possible
• grow the inner foundations required to lead what comes next

It’s about becoming the kind of leader who can carry something new with faithfulness and hope.

If you sense that quiet, persistent compulsion from God, Incubate may be your next step.

Applications are now open.
