We are supporting Dementia Action Week!
Around two-thirds of people with dementia live in the community, yet research shows that more than 60 per cent of people would rather not think about dementia.
A lack of knowledge and understanding of dementia leads to people living with dementia experiencing stigma, discrimination, social isolation, loneliness and are less likely to seek help.
That’s why we are helping to break down the stigma and create a dementia-friendly future at the Forget Me Knot Connection and St Francis Anglican Church Clarence Gardens
Find out how you can get involved in Dementia Action Week at www.dementia.org.au/DementiaActionWeek.
Please join us and bring your friends.

Coming into this year I was in almost constant pain, I was so unwell and my mental health was taking a beating. I didn’t think that I would ever play football again.

Then, the amazing women that I work for stepped in and found me a medical team that turned that all around.

Now, I feel healthier, stronger, fitter and happier than I remember being and not only am I back playing the game I love alongside the most supportive group of women I have had the pleasure of knowing, I will play my 50th game in our first ever final this weekend.

I get emotional just thinking about how far I’ve come, I’m so proud of myself for not giving up, even when some of the people closest to me gave up on me.

It feels like a miracle but I put in so much work for this, I pushed through so much to get my workouts in, even on the darkest days.

I am forever grateful to those who believed in me and supported me through it all, particularly my teammates, without you all I would never have made it.

Let’s get this Chics 🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🐣💪🏻

A perfect day for a self guided walking tour. Following the Aunty Barb Wlking tour app was quite the adventure. We ran into the current resident of the house that Harold Thomas designed the Aboriginal flag in and were welcomed in to look around and see the kitchen table where the flag came to life. Then a tour through Pakapakanthi (Victoria Park). Neuroplasticity building as we walked in the sunshine. 😇 great all round activity for brain health

So excited for Garden Club tomorrow. I’m taking this African Violet as an example of what it looks like to propagate from a leaf I got from the dear 96 year old client who passed on Saturday.
And she was a published poet!!!!
How poetic to honour her memory 🥰
