What an amazing day at the City-Bay with this incredible team! 🏃‍♀️💙💛

We were proud to get together, get moving and support a great cause, raising awareness and funds for Cystic Fibrosis SA

RUNNING FOR WALTER 💛

This is Walter.

He’s four years old, full of personality, energy and mischief, and he is the reason the Volley Recruit team will be taking on the City Bay this year.

For our owner Shaun and his family, cystic fibrosis isn’t just a cause we’ve chosen to support. It’s part of their everyday life.
Walter’s first few years were incredibly tough.

Less than 24 hours after coming home as a newborn, he was back in hospital with dangerously low oxygen levels. He developed pneumonia and spent around a month in hospital during that first admission.

Over the following 18 months, Walter became seriously unwell again and again, developing pneumonia multiple times and spending close to four months in hospital altogether.

Eventually, at around 18 months old, Walter was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis.

So this year, we’re Running for Walter.

On Sunday 20 September, the Volley team will take part in the City Bay with a goal of raising $5,000 for Cystic Fibrosis South Australia.

We want to raise money. But we also want to raise awareness.
Because awareness changes lives.
