Brad in Paradise had 78sqm of tired, cracked paths running through the property.

Didn't need a full tear-out - we ground it all back, filled the cracks, and resurfaced the lot in one continuous Hamptons finish. Left the garden borders and garage step alone because they didn't need it.

Looks like a completely different house now.

A really satisfying result and project for Ilonka & Tom in Mallala.

They’d just recently relocated from interstate, purchased this property and were making some improvements before moving in.

The garage was large, and the floor was knackered.

Something needed to be done as they had a vision for this area - instead of being a carpark & storage area, it was going to become a room for art, woodworking and whatever else.

We enjoyed this project as it was more technical than standard.

There were some detailed repair work that needed to be done to deteriorated vertical concrete faces and large cracks on the front lip.

Due to the age of the slab, there was no vapour barrier beneath the concrete + moisture testing revealed excessive moisture in areas - so an epoxy moisture barrier had to be installed before the main system went down.

Sue’s rural property in Evanston Gardens had a massive verandah around the whole house.

As it was such a big area, it had a massive say in how the home presented.

If it looked like 💩, then it’s an uphill battle for the home on the curb appeal front.

But if it looked clean & cohesive then it’s a real boost.

When we arrived on day 1 - the concrete was really grimy. Years of mold build up and a faded finish from decades past.

Fast forward a week and we pulled this verandah from the 90’s right up to the present day with our concrete resurfacing system.

Sue chose Sandy Beach as she wanted a warm finish.

That’s one of the advantages with concrete resurfacing, there are so many colours to choose from.

Part 1 of Rescuing Surfaces for Greg’s Aldinga Beach property.

Greg had a bog standard concrete patio, and prior to getting in touch with our team, he had put rubber tiles over it to make it look semi “decent”

After a few years that solution had over stayed its welcome and it was time for a permanent fix.

We diamond ground and shotblasted the concrete, applied a thick, moisture tolerant epoxy base, full flake broadcast and then a thick top coat to give the surface a great shine and make it easy to clean.

Part 2 is resurfacing the concrete around his home!

Driveway sorted, Balhannah.

Six months old and already covered in tannin stains from the gum trees. Leaves hit the concrete, get wet, and leach brown right into the surface.

Cleaned the lot back, then two coats of penetrating sealer to lock it up. Penetrating, not topical — this one's on an incline, so a film-forming sealer would have made it slippery.

Sealed concrete is not self-cleaning. Still needs a wash now and then. But it makes the upkeep a whole lot easier.

Cornelius’ property in Kingswood got the complete Surface Rescue package.

Before we arrived, the sun room floor was boring as hell and rest of the concrete had a basic concrete paint on it.

Cornelius wanted these surfaces to look better but also didn’t want to waste time with coatings that look good for the first minutes and then begin to deteriorate as soon as they start getting used.

We recommended our Shield epoxy flooring system for his sunroom floor and our concrete resurfacing system on the carport, verandah & paths around the house.

Thorough and complete surface preparation is one of them. Within that though, there are many details to hit.
